In the 1990s, starting with 1993, after the breakup of the old Yugoslavia into Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia and what was later known as Serbia-Montenegro, together with the entrance of the Eastern European countries in Eurovision after the end of the Cold War, there were suddenly more than 30 countries trying to enter the competition, which was deemed too many for a single show. So an elimination system was created by which the worst classified songs were eliminated from competing the following year to make room for other countries waiting to come in that were eliminated the year before or were entering for the first time, and leave the format as one show with 23-25 countries. You noticed Slovenia didn't compete in 1994, that's because they were among the worst classified countries in 1993 and they were eliminated from sending a song in 1994, returning in 1995. The exact elimination system changed a few times in the time between 1993 and 2003 until it was replaced by the semi-final & grand-final format in 2004, two semi-finals and a grand-final since 2009.

eurovizion is a fars, the best song never wins cuz countries vote for their frinds not song it totaly BS... and no they are not sisters
