The 'Royal' part means that this was performed live in front of a member of the Royal family hence the actor doing a cutesy with his jacket and staring towards the Royal box.

Their Peter Pan is a great one to watch, and you get the added bonus of already knowing the characters and story, so it give you a different perspective while watching it, they are great if you just want to chill out without having to follow plots lines or work out who's a villain and why, these are just more press play and forget the world for abit and have a laugh

They've done a couple of full length plays. Given the time, the chaos grows, and you start relating to the actors and the dilemmas they face. Brilliantly funny.

They do a lot of 'Goes Wrong' shows - Peter Pan & Magic Goes Wrong. The Mischief theatre company. I've seen all their stage shows and they're hilarious. They did a series for the BBC which are worth a look.

I have seen them live on stage many times and they are a truly great show to see. The live performances sometimes start 10 minutes before 'curtain up'. They have the audience looking for an escaped dog belonging to the show, and getting a member of the audience to hold a section of the scenery for the stage crew. So the audience are unaware that this is part of the show.

Both series of 'The Wrong Show' (6 episodes in each), the few Specials, and the Stage shows, where it all began, are utterly Fantastic. 😂 Penn & Teller coached the magic for 'Magic Goes Wrong'. 😃

Mischief Theatre tour major venues across the world and regularly petform in the US. Because they can be appearing in several places at the same time, they have quite a sizeable ensemble

They are fantastic. I saw the full play live, as well as Peter Pan Goes Wrong (there is a TV version of that), Magic Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.

I was sat on the front row that night at the royal variety. this play was so funny went to see it a week later at the Duchess Theatre it was so funny

This was an extract from a full-length play that toured the country. This is the original cast, although it’s toured with newer casts since. They did a few different plays. They then got a number of Christmas specials filmed before a live audience (Peter Pan and Christmas Carol) that are worth checking out. The original cast then put together two series of half-hour shows called The Goes Wrong Show which were a sort of ‘play of the week’ type of show which was brilliant (the first series better than the second in my opinion). Each actor is also played as a fictional character in their own right (the pompous lead/director, the big over-acting ham, the young actor who is a bit dim and can’t remember his lines, the guy who interacts with the audience etc). If you can find it anywhere, I heartily recommend watching The Goes Wrong Show.

For Brit licence payers, at least, it's available on BBC iplayer, along with the televised Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. Not sure what, if any, access non-Brits have to iplayer shows.

This performance at the Royal variety show was particularly special as they used other performers from the show to enhance it. The showgirl removing the director's jacket was singer Kylie Minogue. The man singing in the window was Josh Groban. At the end, when the set collapses, the person on the ladder throwing snow as show compare Jack Whitehall. Adding these performers to the skit made it even more hilarious

This was a short improvised performance for the Royal Variety Show using some other guests like Kylie Minogue and Josh Groban. The original play is so funny, now playing on Broadway I think. The team have had various plays on in the West End, one of the funniest was Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Comedy About A Bank Robbery.

I seem to remember another murder mystery type comedy where they would often get the phraseology wrong. For example, they'd say, 'So what, have we got to go on?', rather than the correct, 'So, what have we go to go on?' when talking about clues to solve the case. 🤣

I think a year or two later they did another Royal Variety Show called Grown Ups. This was where they pretended to be small Children and was just as hilarious. I recommend you take a look at it.

Saw this when they toured the UK a few years ago, so funny! It's a company called Mischief Theatre, we've seen several of their shows as they often go on tour here. The Mind Mangler was the most recent, funniest of them all 😂. Worth checking out more.

I discovered this only a couple of months age. There are videos of the full play on youtube which is absolutely hilarious. Unfortunately there is no video of this production but there are a couple that are really good .ones. This is the one I watched, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PNBC94ftt0M.html. Regarding the scenery falling with the actors standing so the window goes over the top of them, I saw a programme on Charlie Chaplin life story many years ago where they studied his movies and how he did certain stunts. They figured that the one with the window was done by having the wall on the ground and he stepped into the window. Then they raised the wall to the upright position and then reversed the film.

There was a moment in that where I realised they'd replaced Charlie Russell (the woman in the black wig) with a dummy and I had to go back and watch it again to work out how they'd done it. That must have required incredible timing.
