A BIT ABOUT ME: I consider myself to be an average rider. Not good with jumps, corners, and not very fast. As I continue to try and improve I find myself becoming more and more passionate about riding and wish I could do this every day. I watched many others start a MTB RU-vid channel and thought it would be fun to start my own. All of them are really good riders and do an amazing job giving out information about trails, gear, and tips. I would like to think I could help review trails that aren’t as well known to encourage more bike traffic. Their channels really motivated me to move forward and put my own little twist on trail rides and mountain biking. I will do my best to inspire people to get out and ride and find people to share my adventures with.

Respect. I know this trail well, as I started riding it when it opened. In my late twenties, early thirties - I rode this trail from Carmichael to Old Sac, turn around to Folsom - then back to Carmichael... It wasn't very difficult when doing it every week, but also without much foot traffic, homeless, and the Fair Oaks / Orangevale leg was well taken care of. It is a shame that the County Board of Supervisors has fallen down on the job of keeping the Jewel of Sacramento ... well, the Jewel of Sacramento. One thing though, adding to the respect: I have never taken my mtb on this trail - always road bikes - and to think that this was a breakthrough ride? As I said - RESPECT. Thought: Maybe there are some trail advocacy groups that are lobbying the SC BOS to make some changes... one can hope - tough times.

Thank you very much. It is a shame that some of the trail is getting so homeless on the trail. Makes it a bit scary to ride some areas. I do hope they can fix that one day because it really is a great trail for road bikes or the occasional cruise on my MTB. There are some places off the pave area you can take MTBs. Not sure how legit that is though. I think many of the areas are for horses and hikers only. It's been awhile since I've been out there. Thanks again for checking out and commenting on my video.

I did pretty much this exact ride a couple months ago.. tons of fun. It's pretty diverse fighting cars, avoiding ghetto, beautiful trail, and even some mountain biking along the north side of the river near Lake Natoma. Just before you passed the dam there are some trails going up the hills there. Going down it is STEEP.
