Im sorry, no disrespect to other fine singers with big ranges....but Dimash is a whole other ball of wax. Hes not just top of the mountain. Dimash IS the mountain. His power and control.... the unbridled passion. He's fearless. His phrasing...timing and nuance bores right into your soul. He's not just a pretty voice....but a voice that captivates and takes you on a journey. He's creative. He's innately so musically gifted he knew from a toddler. Dimash is 100% present. He lives within the music. He's very intellectual and philosophical. Highly educated and well read. Groundedand much wiser than his years. He's mature. A grown up. Yet maintains a spirited inner child. He's loving and kind and humble and well mannered. He learns quickly. His. presence and command of the stage is off the charts charismatic. The first time they were in awe to hear a self duet. As what Simone said “give us something different”, and he can’t for that’s what he is gifted of. Whereas Dimash, every time he sung is a surprise. It’s always different even if it’s the same song. It’s always with a twist. He doesn’t become boring. He will continue to surprise and intrigue you. 5 years listening/watching him almost everyday, three different concert and I’m still as excited, as awed as the first time I heard him. This song is from the Canadian-French rock opera Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger and written by Luc Plamondon. He made his debut in 1978 with a studio recording of songs, before the stage premiere in 1979. The main character sings this lullaby when he loses his beloved. This is a lullaby. A very difficult piece to perform. No one has done it properly yet. Dimash has been polishing it for years. And this is his pinnacle achievement.

Also because he does it with no formal training. Dimash has trained for over 20 years. He is amazing because of his huge range and his ability to transmit the emotions of each song. Again....aside the the amazing vocal acrobatics....he's on his knees....singing into the stage floor. I keep pointing this out because normally singers are mostly standing up.. sometimes seated. Dimash has a Bachelor’s and Masters degrees and is in the midst of a Doctorate, all of them in musicology. He is a singer, composer, lyricist and producer, able to play 7 instruments perfectly and sings phonetically in 14 languages. He is fluent in Khazac and Russian and is conquering Mandarin and English. So unfair to compare him to any one else because he is on a planet all his own. You would appreciate SCREAMING the MV He also has a rap version live. You can’t miss Adagio and Love is Like a Dream, made popular in 1994, composed by Igor Krutoy, well known composer who came out of retirement solely to collaborate with Dimash. Fun fact is Dimash was born in 1994 and now has resurrected Love is Like a Dream and it soared to new heights. There are so many more jewels that you haven’t discovered yet. So far, I deeply appreciate your respect and appreciation for respect ❤

His "Story of One Sky" is a D-mashterpiece. 13 mins long. He took 3 years to comppose, arrange & write screenplay. He acts in it, also. Then he became famous, and also the favorite writer, composer and singer in France. Unfortunately, he died in an helicopter accident during the race Paris-Dakar almost 30 years ago, but he's still in our hearts, always covered by French and foreign artists.
