I smiled when i said that the song could be played in a graduation ceremony or in a wedding. Yes, that song was always being played in graduations here in the Philippines because it is a perfect song to thank our parents who made so much effort so that we could reach our dreams. Hit the nail on the head. Yes, this song has been used for special occasions to thank our parents. In my case my farewell video at my mom's funeral in remembrance of the awesome woman that she was.

same...that was how i was introduced to sb19. they made a slideshow for my mom's funeral, this was the background song. i avoided looking up this song for so long because avoidance is my coping mechanism. now after more than a year, i'm here looking up many reaction videos of them

There are so many versions of this song and although they are arranged differently and hit you differently I never tire of them. My favorite is the Forte Charity concert and the other is their virtual concert where they're family joined them on stage. Love this reaction this performance was a perfect Introduction to SB19.

As a 59 year old mother and daughter, I cry every time I hear this song because I remember my parents’ sacrifices and ask myself if I have done enough in return. My heart as a mom is touched by every word in this song. If I were mom of these kids, my heart would totally burst with joy and gratitude ❤️

It was truly amazing that these women appreciate the value of respect for parents..The 1st time listening to MAPA made me cry because I missed my parents who were Kong been gone and how they raised as well..the value my parents taught me that I also reached my children .Thank you for promoting FILIPINO Music 🎵🎶 and introducing SB19 to the teachers as well..✌️👍😘💞💕💖

One of the boys said in an interview that this song was made in the laundry room during the pandemic, they were all missing their parents, so their leader PABLO asked what do you guys want to say to your parents, this is how it all started with this dong. We sing MAPA in the Graduation day. All of graduates will sing. And its a tradition in the Philippines to have Graduation songs. From Garden school, Grades school and to college

I played this song last year as we celebrated the birthday of my dad during his first year after he passed away so yes there are many different situations where this can be played which is why they wrote the song to not only celebrate their parents but also thank them for guiding them throughout their lives and want to ready them by saying you've done your part let us be the ones to take care of you now

I think the clip with the translated version is much better, so they could understand and feel the emotion in this song. The mapa itself means map in English not just being mama(ma-mom) and papa(pa-father), as parents is always your guidance and reminds you where you came from, so you’ll know where you’ll going.

A sad reality 🥲 mapa- papaiyak ka talaga nito at mapa-pamura narin 😔 because of many corrupt Govt. Officials in the country and the oligarchs 😑😑😢. The Philippines is a rich Country and yet many of us Ended up as Overseas Filipino workers , many Families suffered from this harsh reality ,sacrificing precious moments for the sake the family, can't fill those missing years.😑😔🥲
