American Tries Serbian Food in Užice, Serbia. Welcome to vlogmas day 17 and today we will be making our way from Belgrade to Užice by bus! Once we arrive to Užice we will check in to our hostel and meet up with our friend Stanko who is a local here in Užice. He will take us to try some very traditional Serbian Food called Komplet Lepinja. We will also walk around the city for a bit before heading over to Stanko's place because his mother prepared an amazing dinner for us! I hope you enjoy this video and I'll see you guys tomorrow!

@@Mikrokozma33 hahaha... it takes longer than by bus (3-3,5 hours Užice-Belgrade, it depends which train you take), but it is much much better than 10 years ago, I assure you! New (clean) trains that arrive on time and people are polite 👌👌👌give it a try next time 😉

Dear Chris , I have to explain a few things about your situation at the bus station: First. When you buy a ticket at the bus station, you get a free token for entry, which you obviously lost and therefore did not enter and you were late for the departure of the bus. Other. They didn’t give you back 10 percent but they gave you back 90 percent of the ticket price and legally they didn’t have to give you anything back because it was your fault that you lost the token and you were late . Please stop lying a couple of people are watching this. Third. This is not the wild West that someone threatens you when you are wrong, you tried to get something for free and out of the rules, like all vbloggers without a real job, and now other normal workers are to blame. .. Thank you.

I love Užice so much. I'm from Belgrade originally but one of my best friends is from Užice and I love going there to visit, its such a small town but there's just something about it. Its a vibe tbh and in general the whole Zlatibor area is one of the most beautuful areas of the country if you ask me, you should try to stop by Zlatibor itself as well while you're in Užice, its only like 40 minutes by local bus

Ohhh it's stupid, u have to buy some extra coin / token to drop it in so that the bars open and let u through 🙄 ... well after this new bus main station constructions are finished, i hope they will come up with some new "normal" system .. anyways sry for that bad experience, that's not how it normally works but u know that already 😉😁 .. guess it was too early in the morning 😉😂

Yes Chris, Tara and Zlatibor are beautiful mountains, you will love it 😊 One unusual thing in that the weather on mountains this week is better than in cities. When is foggy and cold in cities, its sunny and warmer on mountains. That happens sometimes in winter and its called temperature inversion, so exaple. In Belgrade or Novi Sad its foggy all day with 4°C and on mountains its sunny with 8°C, thats nice

Make time and visit Sirogojno on Zlatibor, it is a beautiful open air museum with authentic old serbian houses and it will give u an insight on how did the people back in the day lived and behaved. And if u love a good local bite (and we know u do) than Mačkat village is a must and their famous roast(most famous kafana there is Bajo).

This local guy, Stanko, will show you everything you should see (although, we have a couple of jokes about people from Sevojno - ask him about that😜). There's a nice Tea House for your Isreali friend (whose name I always forget😬). Some really cool, wierd teas you can find there. Sorry about the bad experience from the bus station. These conflicts are quite normal in Belgrade. I had usually at least one verbal fight per day when I lived there. The more you stay, the more you'll get know the dark side of our mentality.😔

Uzice is very foggy and ugly during the winter, but it's much nicer during the spring and summer. I hope you will also come and visit the town when the weather is nicer. Then you'll be able to enjoy kayaking on the river, visit the fortress, do hiking tours if you are interested in that and lots of other nice things. And of course eat komplet lepinja again, it is tasty in any time of the year :) Cheers!

Contact the bus station company via email or try contacting some of the managers and tell them about the behaviour of their employees and provide them with details and video if you have, alongside with time and date when it happened. Do that, they should be penalized for being stupid and unprofessional. Especially the guy that wants to take it outside..

Here is some places you should visit: Zlatirob, kopaonik, stara planina (Mountains), Uvac, Tara, (rivers), stopića pećina, rajkova, (caves), so in this places and around them you Can learn about serbia, history, and ofc you Can see this beatifull country inside, big cities is not Best part of serbia.. full recommendation, if u wanna travel around, Just Google it, nature beauty of serbia and you Can find a lot of places interesting and beatifull to see and experience it

Chris, I'm so sorry for the behavior of the staff at the bus station.. The only thing I can say is that the staff at the main bus station in Belgrade is famous for being VERY rude and not helpful! The good thing (I hope) is that they will get completely new people in the new main bus station they are building. Enjoy your stay in Užiće, and I hope you will see some snow when you are staying there xD

Hey Chris since you're staying in Dorćol in Belgrade,there's also a place where they make Užička komplet lepinja,the place is called "Picerija Skver"(Pizzeria square),it's around 250 dinars and if you want they add prosciutto,look it up if you want!
