Got ATS a couple of wks ago(mainly after watching your vids). Nearing lvl 16 with almost 20 days in game time and still look forward to seeing your vids. Saving my money for that coveted lvl 20.
I'm glad you're usin' TrackIR, you tend to check your mirrors more frequently and look a little further left/right which is what I would do if I was driving.

I picked this game up a couple of weeks ago, hence me replying to an old video. I agree on keeping the same truck for a while. I grabbed the viper Peterbilt, and I cannot part with it. I'll buy a new truck, drive it on one good run to test it out, then hire a driver for it so I can get back in my Pete! It's the "Boss's truck," haha.

I also have the Freightliner Classic XL red in color with upgrades in engine, tires and other things. The engine is nice and fast when on the road driving. Any other mods you're using Jeff besides the one you have listed above?

Great video! I have a question for you, is there any truck simulator games that have you drive on the eastern part of the country? It seems like all the truck simulator games take part in the desert!
I also use TrackIR which there is no problem, I press pause when driving straight or highways. I agree that you don't need to make truck any faster, it is truck business sim not a racing sim. I do like noises that trucks make.

Jeff i know this video is old but in the real world u r no longer allowed to stop on the side of the highway to sleep it is law to use a rest area or a truck stop it is illegal to stop on the highway unless u have a blow out
The sleep function might slow down the game by it adds to the challenge of gettin' your freight delivered on time. I'd like to see you turn it back on. 30 min episodes? The last two episodes have been well over 30 minutes.
I know y'all might think it's wired to see a stop sign at a stop light, it's because people run the light so if the light is green in Pennsylvania we can go, but if ya turning or the light is red y'all would stop at it, but in the countryside of Pennsylvania has a lot of them it's really to prevent an accident. I really want to clear that up because it seems like y'all don't have that in your state.
Please do something like you did with LSPDFR on how to download mods i have tried and tried but cant figure out your the best your LSPDFR one was great please do it again with ATS. Thanks
Jeff I know your busy and the comment I posted on your last ats I'll explain a little bit of what the the guy from scs who came into a live streamer I watched and he talked about the game. The cops will ticket you if you go 3+ mph. Also if you get more tickets and crashes you will be called into weigh stations more. Your insurance on your truck will also be higher. I know there is a way to see what this percentage is. So the better your drive the lower your insurance is and also the less you will have to pull into weight stations. Also I forget what chemical you will have to unlock it but there is a double axle trailer. I know it's one of the chemical. It's absolutely huge trailed to haul (length wise). Also Arizona will be its own dlc. SPOILERS FOR THE DLC PACK! Colorado, New Mexico,Oregon, and Utah will all be one dlc pack. That's the summer of version of what he said. Hey man, what settings in game do you use? The sky for me is ridiculously over exposed and is just this obnoxious bright blue. And I tried forcing some AA through the AMD profile but it's still not great.
Thanks for the video as always...I had issues with screen tearing even with GSYC on...I am running the GTX 970...I had messed around for a day or so and found out for me that if I lower my DISTANT to 300 and lower my GRASS DEN to high instead of ultra my screen tearing disappeared...Note: This worked, I am using TRACK IR WITH THE NEWEST UPDATE AS WELL. Hope this might help or if I just got lucky and it worked itself out.
Hey Jeff, just have a general question about mods. When you load updates for your truck do you have to replace the original file or just add the new ones in the mod folder? Thanks for the help!

Since you mentioned you like the open road trucking, there is a mod out that runs from Nevada to Boston along the interstate... keep in mind it takes FOREEEEVER to run the whole route and some speed limits arent really matched to the setting (75 in town??), but thought id point it out... atsmods . lt/new-states-map/
