American Truck Simulator - Ep10: Hiring Drivers and Expanding the Garage 

I hired a guy and on his first job he earned -113000 dollars. What in the world did he do? Blow up the clients warehouse?!

Don't worry about going off-road a bit to get around those roadblocks; as long as you don't go too far into the grass, nothing should happen to your truck, and there are no fines unless the game decides you ran a red light trying to get through the intersection. Honestly, the blocked ramps are badly designed; it basically forces you to either off-road around them or forfeit your load.

I drove that crazy road up in Montana.. It's not too bad, uphill old dirt road and sharp curves.. just have the horse power and hope your not too over weight when you drive it? I think I had 18k to 22k lbs with me when I did it? it was fun and at night!

Hey, still making my way through this playlist as I learn this game as well. Really enjoying it so far and just wanted to give some tips which you may now be aware of. It's better to sort jobs by price per distance instead of overall price. Also when buying trucks for drivers, if you put them in a truck with a sleeper cab, they will make more money for you as the game lets them take longer runs. Not sure how you feel about mods, but I used one off steam that got rid of night time. I still get sunrise and sunset views but no more pitch black nights and can enjoy the scenery no matter the time of day! Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next 17 videos :) Oh and btw 2.000 pounds= 1 Ton

Here in the US, we don't call it "drag". It is technically called "length from kingpin" but we drivers call it "California overhang" or "California tail swing".

Are you going to bounce around New Mexico until you visit all the cities? The next state they're going to release will be Texas. I believe they're going to release it early in 2023. I drove across the state once from East to West and it seemed like it was never going to end. The Mountain in Close Encounters is called Devils Tower. Not very family friendly name. lol It's somewhere on the map, but as Mark said, you'll have to find it. Enjoyed the trip. Look forward to the next drive.

Howdy, came across your channel while looking for a recent video on hiring workers and using them to the best of their abilities. Unsure if this is the right one or not. I just started playing this last week, I have my rig which is pretty much tuned to the gills, I dunno if I can tune it anymore. I haul the big big stuff, whichever pays more per mile, that's where I'm at lol. I've got 2 trucks that are both also tuned up, just not to the level of mine, and I have 2 workers. But they don't seem to bring in more than $2k a day profit each, which doesn't even cover the loan payments for their trucks. I'm hoping I can kinda micro manage them and put them on hiring dollar loads. Anyway, my first loan was for that $400k, and it took FOREVER to get it paid down about 50%. After that I haven't taken the $100k loan, but have stuck with the $10k & $50k loans as I can pay those off sooner, which brings my daily payment down each time i pay one of them off. I'm not a mathematician, I'm actually a career driver IRL, but am curious if I'm actually paying MORE in the long run in interest by doing multiple smaller loans vs the big one? I'm hoping to find out if I can micromanage my driver's from this video, cuz there's not a lot out there about it. Cheers bud
