6:40 I always see people on here saying buy the stock cheapest vehicles for your AI and I am always like are you crazy!? You go drive one of them hunk of junk cheap, not upgraded day runners and see what that is like trying to drive 24hrs at 45mph LOL... Any how, I am interested to know what you found about trailers and AI. I noticed that I do not have any "Could not find work" from my drivers when they have trailers on hand and ready.
This is likely not correct. Many people have tried to determine the effect of upgrades to hired drivers' trucks, and nobody appears to have found anything really significant. The performance bar graphs in particular are only applicable when the player is driving a truck; trucks driven by hired drivers are not simulated in the same way.
@@speed2nice985 Trailers make a difference in the same way as they do for the player - the same job pays more with your own trailer than it does with the employer's trailer, so they would make more money that way. However, having a specific trailer limits drivers to the jobs that are possible with that trailer, and as hired drivers only ever look for jobs back to their home city from the exact city they're in, and for a limited amount of time, that increases the risk of them going back all the way empty because they can't find anything that fits, potentially causing you to lose a lot of money over time. That's why people sometimes recommend not giving hired drivers access to trailers. For hired drivers' trucks, upgrades will not affect the jobs they can do or the completion time. A driver with a 300hp engine will pull that 90,000lb load through the Rockies in the same time as one with 600hp. However, I've now seen that someone seems to have found out that certain truck upgrades can increase they money drivers make from jobs by small amounts per part, up to a maximum of 10%. Go to the guides for ETS 2 (it's going to work the same way for ATS) on Steam and search for "A Better Truck" for an in-depth explanation. I only know what's written there, though; I haven't found a way to look at those numbers myself.
Im having about 480 trucks and when i bought new map DLCs there are no longer employees at the recruitment agencies i can no longer employ because they keep on saying try tomorrow
Sounds like it might be related to new map DLCs. I have not upgraded to any new DLC maps so maybe wait a few in game days and see if it corrects itself.
