Also realistic when they take up multiple lanes. I had to move out of my lane a little bit because the truck was turning a little too far over to the left and I needed to take a left hand turn and so I ended up being the asshole taking up two lanes as well. I didn't want to get ran over.
Maybe they went through when it was yellow? I did that in the game and still got hit by a car that made a left turn into me and cut off by a car making a right turn. They somehow couldn't notice the semi coming through the intersection that couldn't stop.
Not only does this game trick you into getting a Logitech wheel, after extensive hours you'll want to get your CDL, damn you SCS software for making me want to get my CDL and drive truck
@@flouserschird I was driving a 12 hour load to Wyoming wicked late at night and I had just smoked a joint. Halfway through my journey I passed out in my seat and ended up flying off a small ravine into a river. In my half-awake state and playing on a 55 inch TV, I thought I was really about to die for a split second. Good times.
Fun fact, I work on a farm and never drove a standard truck IRL that had more than 6 gears until then. I legit was able to drive it no problem first time cause of the fact I learned from this game and my whole driving set up lmao.
When I was working as a flight instructor, I always loved having the students who had a ton of time on Flight Sim. Even if they didn't have a full blown setup.. It still meant they knew the basics, had a grasp on a lot of terminology, systems, knew how to read instruments, knew what a standard rate turn was.. Stuff like that. Tuning radios, not saying "whats a VOR?" Made things so much easier.
I just have to ask.... why? Are these games fun and there's just something I'm missing? Wouldn't snowrunner or something like that be more fun? I really just want to know
@johndodo2062 I find them fun. where as Snowrunner is about navigating obstacles, these are more about making sure you drive long distances without damaging the cargo, It's a good idle game you can just put on when you dont feel like trying too hard in other games. Just throw on some music. watch some youtube or just chat with mates while driving. You get a sense of satisfaction when you do a delivery that took an hour or two and you took no damage doing it, especially if you're doing 40-50kmph over the speed limit while running red lights and dodging cars. Might just not be your thing, fun's subjective after all.
Dude i just heard somebody in chat recommended hardtime? I actually deadass think thatd be a perfect game for oboe to try (that or any other mdickie game, theyre all kinda the same thing just different flavors)
You said "don't clip 'em" as you casually hit that post, take the turns slower and not so wide you go on the sidewalk, if the other truck has to back up, they have to back up.
The amount of times I get random songs I don’t recognize stuck in my head only to realize it was Oboe singing random shit from a stream is slightly worrying.
I was listening along while doing other things, normal gameplay normal gameplay, then about an hour and a half in oboe absolutely LOSES his mind. 1:31:13
Stuck round to watch this whole vid and yeah, playing this game gets like that, especially when I was making vids myself. Kinda just start rambling. But ya drove through my state for the most the vid so I stuck round. Playing with a wheel changed and it is such a chill game to lose time to. I have this and Euro Truck Sim. Wanted to add but if ya do play again, I find it's easier to free roam the city you're in to just hit the other jobs sites and pick up a job. For me, saves time between navigating the menus to find one then drive to it
1:56:17 me wondering if Twitch chat ever commented that you're supposed to subtract a can at the end of each line before the next one....I think this is a youtube viewer win
comment towards what was said at 1:54 : you can actually get away with using a controller to play ATS, feels like a safer way as well because on controller it feels less likely to tip around corners when hauling a load, most you get out of it is the trailer leaning a bit more than the truck.
To the creator of this video there are different rules to trucking and I have the game and I’ve had it for a long time your headlights you have to click the button a couple of different times. I think it’s twice to actually get them on because the first ones just you’re running lights, also you seem to suck at turning Truck, but you’ll learn and I don’t have experiences from playing the game. I have real life experience too.
When do you get to the part with vampires.. where you have to use a squirt gun? And like a pencil and stuff to fight the vampires off? I feel like that the game could probably really step up at that point.. no way they would skip out on it for the second one, and it's important part of being a truck driver... Even if it's not in everyday occurrence you know...
Iam actually using my logitech joy stick y axis for turning also my logitech rudder pedals that have toe brakes which work amazing for accelerating and braking almost like the real thing. Didnt know before it would work so was using my joy stick for gas braking and turning. Forward gas backwards brake left right steering. And every position in between. Got it so much better that Iam really now enjoying the game.
You not honking at people you should honk at like that one individual but honking instead at people waiting at a traffic signal for the roadwork thing where the lanes merged.
Why are you driving in auto make that ugly round advisor smaller if you hit F3 again and it makes it transparent I don't know why people don't try stuff
This is about as good at driving as you need to be to get a job at Swift. Hell they pay for you to get your CDL long as you work for em afterwards. I used to do it. Aint a bad job if you ain't got any responsibilities.
@@joshd3502 more like the stupidest cliffhanger ending. I wonder if they knew that they weren't going to get to make a third so they just made it as dumb as possible because they'll never have to explain it
