American Whiskey Sample Shootout - 2 Interesting Non-Bourbon American Whiskies

Hello Folks, finally cracking into the samples that my friend ‪@the_whiskeyshaman‬ sent over to the channel. I thought I would shootout 2 non-bourbon samples that I was very keen to try. Tonight we will be trying out the Ironroot Republic Harbinger Plantation Rum Cask vs The JT Meleck Rice Whiskey. Both are unique in their own right with great profiles. I'll sample them and give you my thoughts and opinion on both. So drop in and share a dram with me!

Have only had Japanese rice whisky, nothing North American...yet. It's just recently beginning to show up from a few craft distillers. Looking forward to trying it at some stage. That, and oat whisky. 🤔 Weekend's shaping up nicely here, hope yours is as well! Cheers Tyler 🥃😊🥃 Marian 🇨🇦

Love head to head or comparison videos. I think it sharpens the differences. Love Ironroot, though I have not had their Rum Cask. Thanks for sharing!

Love it brother. I think I sent you the single barrel JT Meleck. If so it’s 60% abv. Either way they are both really good. Glad you enjoyed cheers.

Thanks Randal, if it is 60% it certainly did not drink like it. Very impressive spirit from both, just preferred the JT. Thanks again for sending these up!
