Yeah, "boatswain" and "forecastle" kind of give it away. I was once involved in the early news to voice for newspapers, specifically for the blind. That was around the end of the 1990's.This AI is pleasant and does not sound robotic at all. Things have gotten a lot better. One innovation back then was speeding up the voice without raising its pitch. You can listen faster than you can talk. We could use that on RU-vid.

That sure as hell was a powerful naval force. Why should they fear an American surface fleet. ANSWER: Admiral Norman Scott.

The saddest part of the history of Japan's early war years is the lack of translations of things written AT THAT TIME. The memoirs written after the war are not reflective of the true "mindset" of the Japanese military at any level. We all need to know what to look for in future regimes who would sacrifice their own people for glory, greed, pride or true evil.

What American oligarch profited from America's faulty torpedoes?
@stevewhite3424
@stevewhite3424 3 месяца назад
Well, since your question has already specifically stated that a specific oligarch.Profited what's your basis for saying so? What specific company are you referencing. Do you include all the subtier suppliers in your statement? Your use of "plurium interrogationum" (loaded question) Shows the inherent weakness of your question. If you really cared you would do some research but all you're really trying to do is make some kind of awkward backassword point. Do some research then get back to us.

It was the Navy Bureau or Ordnance. It was bureaucratic incompetence.

Three of the greatest American commanders of World War II had miserable failings, "brain farts" that got hundreds if not thousands of their men killed. For all of 1942 and well into 1944 American Torpedoes were infamously failure prone, but even though he had been a former Submariner, commander-in-chief Pacific fleet Admiral Nimitz failed to heed the many vocal complaints of his submarine captains and he ailed to intervene to get the Torpedoes tested and improved, getting many sailors and Airmen killed in battle for nothing on their cone to nothing torpedo attack runs. His superior, Admiral King in Washington is widely condemned for not heeding British anti-submarine Warfare tactics and experience - leading to the bloody U-Boat Killing spree off the US Atlantic Coast in 1942. And general Hap Arnold, commander of the US Air Forces failed to provide long-range drop tanks for the P-47 Thunderbolts so they could escort B-17 and B-24 bombers deep into Germany in 1943, allowing the luftwaffe to shoot up many thousands of Airmen on those disastrous deep raids. All through this time the Navy Bureau of Ordnance was doing a stupendous job supplying the bombs, missiles, and guns to the fleets and allied forces fighting the enemy, including the superlative U.S. 5-inch Dual Purpose guns on ships, and also the excellent big guns on U S. Battleships, etc. It's hard to find any complaints about BuOrd outside of the torpedo failures, Nimitz should have stepped in long before his sub fleetCommander in Pearl Harbor eventually did
