You dont understand nothing about european football...We aren´t just fans of our clubs we are members, we are part of the club itself. We do not choose our team - It is passed from father to son. The offensive songs are just part of the game it comes with the sometimes over 100 year old rivalries between the clubs.

I mean, why would you go to a stadium just to watch the game...? You can do that at home. You go to the stadium for the atmosphere, not to watch the game optimally. Went to an NBA game with a whole bunch of people from work, we decided to leave after the second quarter. Pretty sure they all expected something different but I didn't. There is no advantage of going to the stadium vs watching at home in the US. It's all so clean. A show, not an experience and it has no replays. Waste of money. I compare going to a sports game in the US with going to a theater performance or a circuss. Going to a European game is better compared with going to a party. There's also that you won't understand many of those. The eating dogs thing is not at all a dig at Park, he's a beloved and respected player. It was a dig at their own government. And of course 100+ years of history with every clubs rising and falling(sports in Europe isn't socialist) causes some history between many clubs and the size of these countries means that many are located in the same cities or cities that had historically been in conflict (some sports rivalries in Italy have history in the Middle Ages)

America don't do sports though. Come to a big rivalry match in England and you'll see what real sports are. Not franchises and commercials. These teams in England are filled with rich history, often it could be violence affair previously. Like there are multiple areas with clubs that have participated in conflict against eachother, making the club you represent a part of that. It's a lot more passionate and cultured than sports in America. Of course matches are still safe to attend though, but there may be some that you wouldn't want to go to if you don't know what you're doing.

American sports fans are very polite. Also, there’s no way cheerleaders & marching bands would be allowed to walk on the sacred turf of the football pitch. English football fans are extremely passionate, have football in the blood & owners upset the fan base at their peril. Many fan clubs have their own professional RU-vid channels where they analyse the game afterwards. There’s often a lot at stake financially speaking as a club which gets relegated to lower leagues could go bankrupt. I don’t think relegation exists for US teams.

3.5 Billion humans watch football globally. 400 million watch American Football, mainly in the US and some fans in Europe. 400 million watch Basketball, mainly in the US. American football is a mash up of football and Rugby. Both UK created sports. Baseball is a rounders, rounders was invented in the UK. No US sports have been created in the US. NONE. Every single sport in the US either comes from the UK or Europe origins.

I couldn’t imagine anything more boring than going to a game and it being quiet. I’d rather just watch it at home. 99% of people go to a football game because of the atmosphere. It’s about having fun. Teams are steeping in tradition over here and are 100+ years old. If any owner even thought about moving the club to a different city like in American they would be chased out the club. Sports over here are a different animal, it’s not just entertainment it’s genuinely like a religion.
