A page boy is a young boy between 3 & 10, who would carry the brides dress, rings etc, basically a male version of a young bridesmaid /flower girl.

Paul Kaye is the actor doing the service. He is famous as a character he invented called Dennis Pennis. who did the most embarrassing interviews with celebrities for a number of years, including Hollywood A listers. He has also played Thoros of Myr in Game of Thrones and been on a couple of HBO series as well as many Brit tv shows and has done stage work as well.

I imagine many other people have probably suggested 'Green Wing' starring Tamsin Greig & Mark Heap (Jackie, Jim). IT IS hlarious ! And a heap of other character. Takes place in a hospital . The perfect antedote to ER !

Most British shows I watch are much darker, and Friday Night Dinner is probably the most mainstream thing I've loved in recent years. But if Muppet wants to watch something darker, there's my all-time faves League of Gentlemen and Nighty Night. I love those so much is almost religious.

The Rabbi/Game of Thrones/After Life guy used to do a character called "Dennis Pennis". He'd turn up at award ceremonies and asks the stars on the red carpet really awkward questions which were meant to take the piss out of the celebrities in question. He was way ahead of Ali G. Probably my favourite reaction to this show so far. And it's not just because it looked like a medical emergency a couple of times xD My humour is very audio-based because I didn't see very well growing up, so Martin's pimp voice caught me off-guard every time. It's just so out of character 😂

house phones are VERY common in the UK, they’re usually used for taking phone calls from schools/banks etc. it’s rare *regular people* will call each other via house phone. most people still have them tho !

My son and daughter in law planned their wedding pre pandemic. Beckie invited me as part of her entourage, I was honoured, and she picked a georgous dress. Hence two year cancellation, because of the pandemic, they both finally had a date, 01/05/22. Beckie was 5 months pregnant and her original dress fitted until Thursday before their Sunday wedding.

A classic show you would both enjoy is Only fools and horses, ask a thousand British people their favourite sitcoms and 90% would have Only fools & horses in the top 5. It's a show that starts funny but grows into some of the funniest TV ever and has many iconic moments. Add a comment if you agree so the Boomers know it would be a popular choice.

We have a house phone because it was cheaper, for internet, cable and phone than it was without it. It's been unplugged for the last three years because we only ever received telemarketing calls.
