"a My Chemical Romance Dracula" is a pretty good description of Noel Fielding to be fair. Absolute legend here in the UK, best known for the Mighty Boosh, cult classic surreal comedy show, highly recommend to add it to your list!

Interestingly the theme tune to both Father Ted and The IT crowd were written by the same man, Neil Hannon, front man of the group Divine comedy, his latest work can be heard on the new film Wonka !

Honestly the goth groupies that would turn up at The IT Crowd recordings at Pinewood was a bizarre sight!! These mainly goth girls would turn up at the slightest appearance of Noel Fielding "Richmond" I could never get my head around how popular Noel was at this time. He definitely had a cult following 😂😂

Moss is an icon. I think this was his big break, he was everywhere after this, and richard ayoade is a don in england, im sure youve seen him on some panel shows? He smashes it everytime. Genius.

Pausing is 1,000% better than talking over it. Talking over it means you're more likely to miss a key plot point or joke, and people want to see your reaction and that may have been one they were looking forward to seeing you experience. Besides, we have a fast forward and skip by 5 seconds buttons.

S2 E1 The Work Outing - is incredible - look out of it. But the whole thing just gets better and better and you'll love it even more when Matt Berry joins the cast in Season 2! Superb.

Those little cameos remind me (taken from perhaps?) The Young Ones, a similarly mad Brit comedy on BBC back around 1982. Another wonderful series to watch!

25:58 - It's indeed one of the best characters ever written in over the top "literal humor". Even his name, Denholm Reynholm. Tell Denholm to "enjoy a cup of tea", and yes he is indeed enjoying that cup of tea.. And at 30:11 he states right out how changeable he can be, following it up absolutely immediately. To me, best written (and performed) character in an office environment. This is "in a way" how I saw management at my own job. Strong personality, assertive, but haven't the faintest idea of the inner workings of the company. Even though we'd love to see him more, I think the character is used exactly enough to "keep us wanting to see him". "Team!.. Team team team! ... No room for someone who can't work as a team on my team!" -- Oh, and just for a little overview of the names, just in case. (But you pretty much got them down now). The actor in behind the red door is Noel Fielding. Fielding was one half of The Mighty Boosh. If you like surreal comedy check out The Mighty Boosh. It will take a couple of episodes for you to get the surreal humour. Once you get it you think it's bloody hilarious. They only did 3 series. All the best humour is restricted to just a handful of series.

Stop listening to the haters. Pause all you want and wear as little pants as you want (that goes for you too King Muppet!)

This is one of the best comedy shows and its humour really stands up to the test of time.

This episode reminds me of the time I had to make a map of the under-floor data sockets on the 3rd floor, I started by asking the staff (mostly ladies) that I was checking the data ports, but I ended up telling the ladies that I needed to see their legs, and it worked, not one of them refused to roll their chairs back and show me their legs :D

Pausing is fine. If you don't pause you miss lots of stuff. Maybe it's just a bit lengthy, the pausing, if you go off on a tangent. That could be best saved for after the episode? But that's very personal. In my opinion you should do mostly what comes natural and what you like. Because if you try to force stuff it can get weird. And we like seeing your real reactions, not reactions that you think you have to make for us. There are a lot of reaction channels that start to think in terms of: "Should I laugh at this? Is it OK to laugh at this? Do they expect me to laugh at this?" And that always kinda kills the fun. Just be you!

The boss' name in Denholm Reynholm. The song Roy was singing at the beginning was a huge Pink Floyd hit from the album The Wall - also made into a movie which is worth watching Richmond is a Goth, kind of a proto-Emo. Characterised by black clothing with silver jewellery, makeup to varying degrees, looking back to poets like Shelly and give off a depressive vibe, dislike of sunlight and the outdoors in general, listening to bands like The Cure and other downbeat, moody stuff. Also what we called "Toe gazers" when they danced because they would kind of shuffle on their feet from side to side and keep their heads down. Richmond, is of course an extreme caricature of these things.

Soon as you do this, y'all need to go back and watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Said it before and I'll say it again. It has young Matt Berry, Richard Ayoade and Noel Fielding in it. I think you'd love it. The more you talk, the more your audience gets to know you. It's because you both talk and have great chemistry together that I have watched you for years at this point.

It might be worth checking out The Mighty Boosh. It's absolutely impossible to tell if you'd like it because it's so bizarre that there's nothing else like it but it's got Moss and the Vampire guy in it

I'm not very good at remembering the names of characters of TV shows either. For a long time while 'Dallas' was being broadcast I had to get my own T-Shirt made up with "Who Shot Who?" printed on it.

Graham Linehan, who wrote and created both Father Ted & The IT Crowd ( both are my fav. shows ever ) is the best comedy writer the UK has ever had. He lives in my home city Norwich, and I have seen him once in 5 Guys getting a burger. He has gone through a lot of criticism over the past years and has been treated very unfairly in my opinion. The cancel culture doesn't appreciate genius, and Graham Linehan certainly falls into that category. Where would we be without Father Ted & The IT Crowd? I enjoy his cameos in both shows, especially the Messy Joe's ''Lots of lovely people having Fun Fun Fun'' Mexican singer in The IT Crowd episode: Fifty Fifty, and the embarrassed co-worker, whose colleague loved him in the Father Ted episode: Flight Into Terror, among a few others.

Imo, pausing is a MUST when you need to talk or die laughing. Because some reactors just keep talking and miss lines or entire scenes. Naturally, they then miss jokes or plot points and become confused as to what’s going on. Pausing is so much better, and makes the content more original - it’s more focused on you as people and your thoughts, it’s less of a “watch a show where a person happens to be in the corner but doesn’t add any commentary” type video.

When I worked for the DSS my office was next to the "secure ethernet control terminal" room, SECT for short.. it was the only room in the building with decent aircon and a steady 65 degrees. Even on the hottest days, leaning against the door was like backing up to an open fridge...bliss but a bit weird to see someone do in a suit..also the IT guys were as weird as this but had to wear uniform so no Hello Kitty T shirts.😎
