Hazard on his top was similar to Messi at times. Unfortunately for Hazard Messi has been able to do it very consistently. I do think that Messi was lucky to be in a team like Barcelona though. It's easier to be a goat surrounded by players like Iniesta & Xavi or Neymar & Suarez than Morata or Bakayoko. I think Hazard is a wasted talent that could match Messi's talent at times. I wish Hazard played with Messi. Maybe in an alternate universe :).
@iciboy9

@@Zedem0n Sorry but comparing Hazard to Messi might just have been the most redicious thing i have ever heard in my entire life. The only thing he comes close to is dribbling and Messi still tops him on that. @@iciboy9 Lol every player is comparable to one another. I didn't say Hazard was the goat was I ? Only that he at times reached the levels Messi was at. And if you don't believe that that is true you're the one delusional with your almost religious belief that Messi is a God. Messi is human wether you like it or not. When Hazard was in top form he made opposing teams look like kindergarten backfield players just like Messi did. Remember how Hazard now holds the record for dribbles attempted and succeeded in a World cup match ? And against Brazil in quarter-finals so not just a stupid match vs a C-tier team. You guys need to stop jumping at people's throats every time you think your God is threatened. Messi is the superior player nobody's denied that in here. You guys are hilarious :D.

for the americans that are new to the sport, 73 goals in a season is the most by any player by quite a bit. A world class striker whose job is to score will average about 30-40 in a season, sometimes more sometimes less depending on how good he performs, also taking into account that they arent as consistent as messi and ronaldo so they might put up these numbers for only like 6-7 seasons. Messi and Ronaldo have been averaging about 50 goals a season for the past 12-13 seasons. Also in the calendar year 2012 where messi scored 91 goals, that was more than some of the top teams in europe, like chelsea, manchester united etc

It's cool how Messi's shortness could be seen as a weakness but he actually uses it to his advantage. Some say that it is actually more difficult to stop him because his centre of gravity is lower than most players' so he can maintain his balance and dribble past players without them stopping him. Rio Ferninand once said something like that normally you can push a player a little bit but it feels like Messi just runs under you before you know it. The talent, the skills, the class, just amazing.

Ronaldo is from Portugal :) And to understand why he is brought into the video - You have to know of the biggest fan-made "rivalry" between two players in football history! There is Ronaldo - And there is Messi - No one stands out like these two do! You could easily watch the same movie on Ronaldo, and you would have the exact same reactions! These two are without any doubts the greatest to play the sport! Not only do they have an utter crazy talent to the game - Their dedication to it is on a level that has never been seen before and properly never will for a very long time! They have been on top of their game for 15+ years and are still going strong - Week in, week out! Take this into consideration - The greatest sportsmen to grace the planet are in many peoples mind the likes of Ali, Jordan, Woods, Maradona, Pele, etc. - Name one of these who stood out for so many years like these two? ON ANOTHER NOTE: Being a left-footed player is considered somehow "rare"(30% of players are left-footed) in football - There is not many of them compared to right-footed players. Theres been research done to see if left-footed players have an advantage over their counterpart - It tells that left-footed players have inverted brain hemisphere functions, which gives them an extra dose of unpredictability :) Which Messi is a perfect example of..

Clubs can sign players from all oveer the world, in this case even tho Barcelona is a spanish club, they can sign Messi (From Argentina), Neymar (From Brazil, Suarez (From Uruguay), Griezmann (From France), while countries can only have players that were born in a specific country, (Argentina can only have Argentines, Brazil can only have Brazilians, Spain can only have Spaniards), it's the best players from a country against of the best players of another country.

Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar in probably Messi’s last chance; so he has his world champion title. That large golden football is the Ballon d'Or trophy- basically the MVP of the world. Messi has won a record 7 Ballon d'Or titles (renaldo is closest with 5). Messi played the majority of his club career with Barcelona FC in Spain’s top league. He now plays for PSG in the French top league. Teams have 3 to 4 kits (jerseys) every year- home away 3rd alternate kit and sometimes a champions league kit. Top football players play for both club and country. When Messi is in that blue and white stripe kit, he’s playing for Argentina. It’s similar to say Michael Jordan playing for Chicago (club) and in 1992 he was a part of USA basketball for the Dream Team at the Olympic Games. Biggest difference is that footballers consider it an honor to represent their country, and always play. Men’s Olympic teams in football are 21 years old or younger (I think they can have 2-3 older players, but don’t know if that’s allowed anymore). Women have no age restrictions. There are quite a few USA players who are in European top leagues- unfortunately for us (for international play) many of them play the same midfield or attacking outside frontline roles. Well that was a long post 😂😂😂

Also the Champions league (as shown in most clips) is not countries competing, its the best few teams from each league in Europe. So they are still representing their club ie. Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern Munich etc. For example it could have Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and Man utd in it who are all from the English premier league.

If 2 teams have similar shirts or colors , the away team plays with an alternative shirt , every team has 3 shirts for this case , and the alternative kit usually changes year after year , barcelona played with yellow , pink , orange , etc.

About the jerseys, is that most teams Home kit remains with the main colors, but they change the away colors each season, thats the reason that the jersey color changes, but he still played with FC Barcelona.

Ronaldo is not cocky. He has a lot of respect for Messi. Also Ronaldo does loads and loads for charities and is amazing with kids. You should watch some videos on RU-vid. BTW I don't support either of their teams so I'm speaking with no bias. I would say that Messi is probably the better player. Thanks for taking such an interest in the beautiful game xxx

Im sure you started watching football in 2004 or something. Maradona is the best of all time. The day Messi wins a world cup by himself and wins a league title with a low profile team like Napoli by himself...only then will he be compared to Maradona. Eeven Pele had already won 2 world cups before he was 30 and a 3rd one before quiting football.

Btw when a country hosts an Olympics they can add a new sport. Everything you mentioned is or has been a Olympics sport, baseball, basket ball, hockey (which is in both summer and winter Olympics)....NFL is literally the only one that isn't, because it literally isn't an international sport. Its US only. Funnily enough i am constantly amazed by how many things happen in America which they attach "World" to. Even rugby and cricket have been in. Rugby still is as sevens, cricket was only in the first Olympics.

Messi has played played for Barcelona since he started until last season when he transferred out the club for his first time to play for PSG. Cristiano Ronaldo is not Cocky or arrogant, he is just confident and determined. While Messi is quite and doesn’t talk too much even at the pitch, but they are both considered the greatest footballers of all time. For example when Messi was at his best and everyone was calling him the player on the at that time, Ronaldo was good but not much eyes were on him, Ronaldo and his teammates were asked on an interview about who do they think the best player on the world at that time, everyone one was saying Messi or someone else, but Ronaldo answered “me” and everyone laughed, couple years later he won the golden ball of the best player on the world and kept winning it ever since. At the end, they are both the best players of all time and I’m happy that I have lived their era. Sop comparing just enjoy them.

How football shirts work is, a team will have a home kit in their main colours which will only have minor changes with each new one, this is the one you would recognise i.e. Manchester Utd/Liverpool Red, Chelsea blue, Real Madrid white, Barcelona claret and blue etc. They then have an away kit (2nd kit) witch they use when they play a team with the same colour. Normally the team away from home wears this. Teams will be much more creative with the 2nd kit as it just has to be a different colour....so Barcelona had an away kit in neon yellow and neon orange like you saw. But they have also had white, black gold etc....Big teams may also have a 3rd kit, sometimes called the training kit, which they may wear if they have exceptional colour clash issues.

Ronaldo is a great goalscorer, lots of character and a sculpture of a man. He works like mad for his image. If you want to build a footballer using an A.I.-Biotech machine, you'd get something like him. Physically gifted, strong and agressive. Nothing against him. Messi? He's something else entirely. Don't compare goalscorers to complete footballers. Messi is a gift from the football Gods. We will never ever see something like him again. He's a great passer playmaker assist-Grandmaster, dribbles like water striders and puts up pure strikers goals, all of those consistently for a decade and half. just everything. He is the final form of the beautiful game. If everyone plays like him, football would instantly become so much better. He doesn't dive, he doesn't talk. He does his talking on the pitch and lives a lay low private life with his wife and kids, few close friends. That's it. Messi is just a kid who loves football. When he retires football is over for me. Thanks Messi. Unquestionably The GOAT to me and my dad. My dad is 74 years old btw. He watched many of the greats from Pele (his former favourite), Maradonna, Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldo 9, Dinho, Rijkaard, Kaka, Rooney and everyone else between those. And after seeing Messi, "I can't believe how he control the ball and he can shoot it!". Yeah we all have said that. He does things in real life i can't even do on video games. The controls are so fine it's unreal. Nutmeg and chipping the ball over goalkeepers is a thing he does stupidly beautiful it's impossible to not just smile watching it. His skills are all useful in that very moment. No flashy slappable nonsense and dive immediately after getting challenged, no no... Messi doesn't do that. He has made critical team killing passes while all his four limbs and torso is on the grass, mere seconds after getting tackled. He has played with a busted nose, bloody mouth, bloody ankle and all kinds of bruises and pain. Me and my dad watched many of those and we obviously root for him. My dad said Messi is not only better than Pele, he's playing football only he can. Ive written a 7000 word essay on Messi tbh. He's just a delight to watch and yes I'm a diehard fan. Hence the long essay...coz it's impossible to just say a few words on Messi. Gracies Messi

2 short stories I know of him that confirms for me how special he is. 1. He very rarely ever runs in the first 10mins of every game. The reason? Think of a lion stalking his prey in the long grass. He moves between the lines, watches what and where the opposition moves and does. He is a killer seeking your weakness. 2. A little story from the training pitch, The full barca defence was running set pieces when messi just arrived onto the training pitch. A wayward clearance landed next to him. He turned to eto'o and asked "what's the bets i can score". He then ran at the full barca defence took it past 5 and slipped the ball in the net. As he ran back up the pitch doing a fist pump eto'o noticed that he hadn't tied his football boots.

Anyone who loves football loves both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, unless of course you are a Real Madrid or Barcelona supporter. They have both now moved on as their famous clubs have run out of money and they want to make the most of their final years at the top. It is lovely to see Cristiano back at Manchester United, even not being a fan, he was part of a great team when he was there the first time.
