Public urination is a big no in Dubai even in deserts, people have been deported and banned at the very least you'll be fined for doing it.

The reason there is so many cans and and food items is because people usually go dessert for dune bashing in their cars and later in the evening set up camp where they would just have a b.b.q or just eat pre-prepared food

The currency they used for purchase is the Emirati Dirham (AED) and 1AED = 0.27$. A funny thing about the Dirham is that the name is the Arabic name of the Ancient Greek currency the drachma. 🤓
