I don't know, it just amazes me that voice of hers, it's unbelievable. It has to be remembered that the song was recorded in 1960 and released the year after and that this was Anita Lindblom's debut recording. She was twenty-three years old as she recorded it. Let that sink in for a moment. Twenty -three! And she spans a hole f-ing octave! A whole octave! And the tembre, the ambis! Jeeezus shit - what a performance! Never mind the complete mess the rest of her life was, she had one hell of a voice...
@@JonathanRollinssthlm305 Definitely. And do a double reaction where you listen to the original and then the swedish version. I for one would love to hear the original of those old classics.
I just remembered a classic swedish movie that you should watch! Rännstensungar, the version from 1974 (there is an older version as well). Anita Lindblom plays a part in this movie, together with stars like Cornelis Vreeswijk and Monica Zetterlund.
”Fantasi” och ”Vill ha dig” med Freestyle En kungens man - Björn Afzelius Sofia dansar go-go - Stefan Ruden Snabbköpskassörskan - Di sma unda jordi Flickan i en Cole Porter sång - Gyllene Tider
Please react on Lasse Tennander "Rötter"from 1985. He was a singer-songwriter and I'm sure you like him. Also Lalla Hansson Anna och mig 1971, Kebnekajse Barkbrödslåten, Melissa Horn Jag saknar dig mindre och mindre.

Hon hade den sexigaste rösten i Svensk musik någonsin. :)
Jag är kompis med en musik-ikon. Tompa Eken.
Ohooooooo!!!! Very nice that you recognize Anita Lindblom............... from a time that is so far away...................... Thankyou... Svensken (-:
Seemed like it was common for songwriters to sell the songs to different countries/markets. So like one for the nordic market, one for the English speaking market, German speaking, french etc often using the same person for the different markets just singing in other languages. A lot of people especially in the cultural world were polygots, which has kinda faded nowadays. Now that English is so international and the access to internet that doesn’t seem necessary anymore.
Another memorable (and very currently themed) song Anita Lindblom recorded was "Balladen om den blå baskern" (orig. "The Ballad of Tthe Green Beret"), dealing with war and Swedish soldiers taking part in (and perhaps being in over their heads) in international war zones and conflicts...
Anita Lindblom also sung this song in a movie in 1961 called "Vi fixar allt" (on the DVD release the title is changed to "Sån't är livet"). I don't no if the record was a follow up of the movie, or if the record came first and they built up a movie around it. The movie is about two males, who get the idea to make a song star out of a shy girl called Annika (Anita Lindblom). The succeed to bring her to the classic dance hall Nalen in Stockholm, but they have to push her out on the stage. She starts singing "Sån't är livet", but stops because she is so shaky. After a few more tries she notice that the audience like it very much, and then she bursts out in full with "Sån't är livet" and becomes a star.
This song was played by my parents in my home throughout my childhood in the 80´s so for me its a super-classic song... Here are some suggestions for the next stations for the "rollin train": The soundtrack of our lives - Instant repeater ´99 Mando Diao - Gloria Johnossi - Whats the point Teddybears - Hey Boy Arja Saijonmaa - Högt över havet Roger Pontare - När vindarna viskar mitt namn Christian Walz - Wonderchild One more time - Den vilda Takida - Curly Sue Millencolin - Leona Nick Borgen - We are all the winners Gemini - Mio min Mio Lambretta - Bimbo Sator - I wanna go home Andreas Johnson - Glorious (kan du eventuellt hört då den gick bra utomlands)
HAD LA LINBLOM MET A SWEET GORGEOUS HUNK LIKE YOU MAYBE HER LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT AND WE SWEDES COULD HAVE ENJOYED THIS TREASURE FOR MANY DECADES MORE1

Love your videos. Greetings from the NGA mountains. This is my absolute favorite version of Anita Lindblom's Sånt är livet. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D8wqHr1yFrw.html. Another good Swedish slager from the days of yesterday is People need love by Agneta, Frida, Björn och Benny before they became Abba ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lFWjsuhje8Q.html.. Yester year sure had tons of good songs. Whether they were original or translations it's interesting to listen to the lyrics and discover what they have been translated into in other languages. If in Sweden, will for sure try to catch your comedy act.
Since you like the the dialect from my neck of Sweden so much how about some of these: Hasse Andersson, Anders & Karin Glenmark or Gemini as they called themselves, more Wilmer X, Timbuktu he made a slammin good cover on Flickan och kråkan written by Mikael Wiehe. Or why not react some very HOT firefighters!!! from Helsingborg called Brandsta City Släckers
