On the contrary I hear him saying someting like: "I get it, this is how life is for you, it's sad and unfair. But maybe making a song about it, letting you know there are people that understand can bring at least a little comfort."

I can't understand how you can think it's anything like a diss track. It's more of a diss by you thinking it is. He was compassionate and acknowledging many peoples reality.
