Oh well it happens. It’s super annoying that nowhereeee it said we could use our parks pass but apparently we would’ve been fine. We both have park passes so we got fined for nothing but is what it is. They should have been more clear IMO
This is a wilderness area--drones are prohibited. Unless you're a commercial user and you got a special use authorization or other permit, your drone flights here were prohibited. Although Christmas Meadows is not in the wilderness area, Amethyst Lake clearly is and so is the little no-name lake where Zack flew his FPV. You do great work, but I'm rather surprised you weren't aware of this restriction. You should know better. I have refrained from flying my drone and getting aerial shots in stunning wilderness areas, national parks and over private property and wildlife protection zones. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to see people flaunt the rules to get shots and video by flying their drone in places I would've loved to do the very same thing but I didn't because I followed the rules. Also, even if you do have a permit, a great many people see shots like this and think they can do the same thing. Please set a good example. So, yeah, you do great work. But I think I'll avoid your channel in the future. Unless you got a special use authorization, in which case I take it all back.
