Guess is that SoFi became a popular bank with the youngsters so they'll cash in on their name vs offering rewards. Capital One to your point would be a better choice
JAL partners with American as part of their OneWorld alliance. I used to fly them before United started direct flights from USA to Manila. They constantly wanted me to take their card, however I never did. I just booked thru AA using AA points.
I think the reasons why the JAL card is horrible is because Japan doesn't know or care to do credit cards well. They're not big on credit in general and if they do get credit they do it in the most Japanese way possible.
Online comments (whatever that is worth) point to a NY law that requires ALL auto policies to cover rental cars, so Chase is taking advantage and claiming secondary coverage. There is no requirement that banks make the renter go through their own policy first, so USBAR, VX, etc can still offer primary if they want to NY residents even if they are covered by their own policy
Ah, that makes sense. I would agree it's chase and not the provider of the CDW. If it was, we'd see it on the other infinite cards. Since it's a payment network benefit. Thanks for sharing.
Accor is a French hotel chain (not an airline) and its brands are pretty big in Europe (certainly France) and the rest of the world. The most famous brands are. Mercure, Sofitel and Ibis, I think only Fairmont is pretty known in North America.
If USB or Capital One Infinite cards keep the CDW, in the state of NY I think it'll change opinion.s Primary CDW is the one thing that still makes Sapphire somewhat relevant...even then, more so on the CSP give the price
