I use the Business Platinum card for business flights which is rare. I get tons of deductions in industry I have a business in so the annual fee doesn’t bother me. Good information you are providing. Keep up the good work and have a great week. 👍🏿✌️
I’ve seen data points on Reddit that suggest that you can receive credits for buying Lyft cash even though it’s against the terms. So a 30th of the month option to roll over the credit in a pinch!
✈️ I am quite the stickler about separating my business and personal expenses, so I really need a card with insurance/purchase protection which for me boils down to the biz platinum or delta reserve. But this delta platinum sounds great!!
✈️ As I usually book through Delta Stays anyhow, the changes were a win for me from the start (though I have Delta Platinum on personal side & Reserve for Biz). May occasionally utilize Resy, but as I live in the boonies and don't use rideshare very often, these 2 credits aren't worth much to me. As always, this card comes down to the companion certificate & whether I can use a 2nd one. If not, I'll keep the Reserve & downgrade or cancel the Platinum. Though the Delta Stays credit makes it easier for me to keep.
Mine just renewed last month at the previous rate of $250. Planning to cancel next year before the next renewal though. The 'companion certificate' always has the dates I want to use blocked out, so that isn't a benefit and I don't fly Delta enough anymore to justify the $350yr fee.
Nope doesnt work for Uber Eats. And you need to use the Amex card for flight benefits. I mean how will they know who purchased other than Delta. The point is to make you use the card, and they make a tiny percent profit of the card.
I'm in Amex pop up jail for a while now and can't get out. I'm considering applying without the SUB. I can use ride share credit, and maybe delta travel credit. But I'm mainly interested in companion certificate and priority boarding. Should I get it without SUB?
Not sure if it’s me but the routes I fly absolutely NEVER have the correct fare class for the companion pass no matter how many dates I search and I’ve been trying over the last 2 years. It’s criminal this limitation isn’t more in reviews
✈️ Sebby, I think this card will become part of my new strategy (yours actually) of Delta platinum / reserve personal and delta business platinum / business reserve. Going for Gold elite, goal of Platinum elite, with many credits we can utilize as we do not live in a Delta hub and have more Resy restaurants than SLC.
I received an offer to upgrade my Business Delta Gold to Platinum for 25000 miles and a $250 statement credit for $5000 in six months. I took it. I know I can use the Hotel credit and some of the Resy, and of course the companion pass. What do you think?
The card has to be a business card, not a personal card. You then deduct it to mitigate your income and tax liability. You can't "write off" (which is a deduction) any personal card AFs. Also, you can deduct interest paid on business credit cards (if you carry balances on your business credit cards). You can actually deduct any interest on any loan, other than federal and state taxes (as far as I know, but I'd have to ask my accountant).
@@LK_EBM you can transfer to jet blue and book a rewards flight through them. Or you can use the CSR and get a 1.5 CPP valuation. 6 hour flight with lay flat seats to Hawaii for 95000 points round trip.
Even as a Delta loyalist, I don’t see much value in any of their branded cards. I’ve already got the Amex business platinum. Already have gold status with Delta. The only benefit I can see is the companion pass, but I tend to travel abroad more than domestic, so… not much value there. I’m gonna call this a pass. 100 years ago, the Delta card helped me get status. Now… not so much.
✈️ I have the personal Delta Platinum. Do you recommend getting this business Platinum Delta to get Silver Status with Delta? Or is Silver Status not worth it?
✈️ no worth it for me for couple reasons: 1 have amex platinum 2 I live on a small town no resy 3 I don’t do rideshare 4 too many restrictions on the certificate
Really hoping it doesn't, but fully expecting the Resy credits to come to the Personal AMEX Gold at the next AF increase. I live in the RTP area, and after looking at the available restaurants, I can't help but feel it will be useless.
