currently i would lean towards INK prefered before getting the business gold. with chase theres no worry about missing out on SUB's where as amex wants to start from the bottom and work your way up. Def. use my points for travel.
You mentioned in the video @9:00 that the same SSN could apply for the same card and get the signup bonus. I received an ink preferred in April, and am wondering if I can apply again and get the bonus again?
🎠Ink is the better card unless you're an advertising business. I don't have either card. Alaska Business now gets my shipping, + $10K on the Delta Business Gold. Right now earning Hyatt points on the personal side with BILT.
Does anyone know which business card codes the best for Shopify? I’m just getting up and going with Shopify Plus and I’m looking at $8k-$10k a month for my stores. I used one of my Hilton Biz cards for 5x but I’m not sure what card will be best long term. I was hoping that an Amex Business Gold would code for 4x #sad. I guess that I could use my Platinum business card for 1.5x and companion lounge access or the Ink Unlimited. I was just hoping to earn more than 1.5x or Hilton Points.
For business owners who have employee cards AMEX is much easier for accounting than Chase. In Quickbooks, with AMEX, all employee cards (or IC) come in under one account. With Chase, you need to set up separate accounts for each employee/IC. For my application, I find that the AMEX Hilton Business works best. Pick a horse, although the middle one reminds me of the Godfather... 🏇🐴🐎
🐎 1.) Ink Preferred for me. The Internet service multiplier gives it the edge vs Amex Biz Gold. 2.) Just got the Ink Preferred (via your link 😁). Hope to soon pair w/the Ink Unlimited. Both would be good keepers. Just wish there was a Biz Saphire Reserve. Wasn't going to get the AmEx Biz gold, as it isn't a great fit for me, esp. at that annual fee, but w/a new 200k MR targeted offer on the table I likely will have to. Will be a 1-&-done almost certainly, tho. Would pair w/Blue Biz Plus. Just getting started & looking to dabble in both currencies. 3.) Definitely use the points for personal. Isn't an issue as sole owner of the business. Makes more sense for tax reasons to pay cash for legitimate business expenses.
🏇I have both and benefit from both honestly. Love both ecosystems! The rotating categories from Chase on their no annual fee personal cards, combined with one of the Sapphire cards is basically an All-Star squad lineup. Then add in the business cards....tough to go up against. Have the blue business with 2x everything and the gold business for 4x with Amex to cover what Chase doesn't. Grabbed a 150k bonus on the card but will continue to use it here and there. I have a few trips with the family lined up in the next year so will use the points to save cash there! Appreciate what you do Sebby! Great content per usual! Keep it up and take care sir✊🏽

ty sebby! i have two ink preferred and two biz golds. i divide most of my ad spending on one of the inks and one of the golds. (close to maxing both) the other ink i use for travel expenses. (about 75K) the other gold i use for work food mostly. (about 75k). i do have a C1 VX and a ink unlimited for most miscelaneous biz spend that doesnt qualify for a specific bonus category. (about 750k total). for any large purchases over 5000 i put several of those on the amex biz platinum for 1.5X (prob 400k). i use the points for travel, mostly.
for my business currently I have a capital one miles... well.. something or another, the flat 1.5x card and I cant stand it. kinda useless but it does give the option of transfer partners at 0 AF. I also have the AMEX BBC and BBP. goal is to get into chase and get away from the Capital one. I'll do a weird hybrid of the ink unlimited, freedom flex and ink preferred.
Just treat it like a 60 day net account and it is great. Blue Amex Business cards are great normal revolvers. You can go over limit when needed. That overage amount is due with your minimum payment.
I upgraded to the Reserve this year from a Platinum card. I've used the lounge around 10 times and have gotten 2 upgrades to 1st class and many comfort+ upgrades despite only having Silver status. The reserve card puts me at the front of the line of the Silver Status folks (if I remember correctly). However, I didn't know I could use the lounge on arrival. The other benefits are not as important to me, having only used the companion fare once.
Great for dropshipping where you need to scale month over month and are making single 1:1 purchases for each order and ad costs etc. Ideally it will see that each month you are spending more and paying it off and let you scale without having to ask for credit limit increases each month. For scaling dropshipping you might go from 5k to 10k to 20 or 30k over a couple months. Not sure what to do when you get to needing 50k+ each month to handle a full 30 day cycle tho?
is there an email address to let amex know my cloud system charge is not getting 4X? tried calling and chatting, but dont have a lot of faith in either of the reps i interacted with
✈️ Have the United Explorer for decades (Newark used to be our main airport). Looked into status. No intention to fly or spend my way there. Not viable for current travel & normal spend.
Does the blue business cash point brother the BBP point transfer to 1 cent per point when redeemed as cash back? I’m not familiar with the Amex family so not sure if only the cash back card yields cash back or if it’s like the personal Amex cards where 1 point= .6 cents when redeemed for cash back.
With Southwest moving to assign seating, how will this affect my southwest priority card? They have already removed the card benefits tracker from the online rewards dashboard that would indicate how many upgraded boarding, earlybird credits, etc have been used.
I've had pretty good luck with upgrades this year with my little Silver Status. I've scored 3 1st class flights and many comfort plus seats. I also have the reserve card, which puts me in front of the other Silver status folks. It's also sweet to be able to use the priority ticketing and bag check area, though I have digital ID, which is even faster.
Trying to strategize doing a Hilton card set up for a bora bora trip. Once you get the FNC, you have a year to use it, right? Does that mean book within a year or complete the stay within a year?
