Here's a deep dive of the American Express Green Card. Having had it for a few months now, I'm excited to share what the best features of the card are, how it compares to other American Express Cards and also why I got this card specifically. I also dig into how I look at travel reward credit cards and why I'm not just collecting points all the time.
Looking to pick up one of my favorite travel credit cards for yourself. Then apply for the American Express Green Card with this link and you could get 40,000 bonus welcome points:

My oldest credit account, but I think it is still a great value.

That’s amazing. And agreed, they’ve done a good job with the Green.

I really don’t think the green card works best for me, but because of how the sign up bonuses work now if I want to get into the American Express point system one sort of needs to begin with the green card. Might be worth trying for at least a year or two. Great video~

Thanks for watching. Agreed, I’d get it just for the first year to start and then move up if it’s not the best card for you long term.

That’s a solid trifecta. Thanks for sharing :)

The green/platinum combination sound interesting🤔
@FahadFinance
@FahadFinance 16 дней назад
Right! There’s another combo with the green card that is underrated that I’ll be sharing soon ;)
@Rocanlover2015

Also worth mentioning that if you get the Gold or Platinum because of the life time language you can’t get the SUB on the green. The strategy to maximize SUBs is Green > Gold > Platinum

Really good point. Thanks for sharing. More the reason to get the green first ;)

If you’re currently paying for Clear and don’t have high enough status with a qualifying airline to get the price down to $150, then the Green card is a no-brainer discount on your Clear membership. Otherwise, you should really run the numbers and see if a different unlimited 2x points everywhere or a different no-annual-fee 3x travel card like the WF Autograph would fit your life better.
@FahadFinance
@FahadFinance 14 дней назад
Agreed, the green card is great if you don’t have clear.

I have all 3 and got the SUB for all 3. At some point I might cancel the Platinum, as this Green with the Gold is a great combo. It sucks that gas is 1X, otherwise I might add the Amex Everyday Preferred for 2X, but the math doesn't add up because of the $95 AF for that card.
@JamesKealohi1

You could do the Blue Business Plus and get 2x on everything including gas. No annual fee.
@FahadFinance

Both really good options!

Agreed. Still cheaper than the platinum, especially if you’re not travelling that often.

@@JamesKealohi1 Oh right! I just feel uneasy not having a business, but I have seen people get it without one. But yeah that one would complete the trifecta.

If they increase the fee for the gold, it'd suck. I believe the savor one would be a great choice

Really might be worth it even without the sign up bonus honestly.

Quite informative. How about vs Amex cobalt ?

Thank you. If you’re in Canada, I’d go with the Cobalt Card.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. You get 5x on the Platinum whether you book with the airline or with American Express travel. Where the green card stands out is hotels, Transit, cruises, and other types of travel where you can book directly with them. Very informative otherwise
