Yes weight is usually going to be the deciding factor, basic physics. You can develop all types of technologies & gimmicks but unless there is significant difference in spec, dead weight will ultimately decide. The BMW also has more engine work done. Mercs are almost always heavier. 100kg additional weight is an average adult female & her 8 yr old child.

STRIPPED BACK SEATS -200KG, much more job done to the engine, THIS WAS A NON LSD CAR, NOT LIKE THE C63S COUPE, more fuel consumption because the MORE agressive tune, stage 2 PLUS turbos.... Only put stage 2 PLUS turbos and meth on a C63S COUPE and you win this race. M4's onñy win when they have more money on them

what bullshit... there is more then only the C63 & M3, i'd take an S63S over an M8, an E63S over an M5,... also for me they are daily drivers so i couldn't really care if an other model is a few seconds faster. where BMW really lets me down is that horrible interior that still looks the same as a car from 1990

@@Doa744 Of course there are more cars than those two, I was just stating my pick on the only two that featured in the video, then went on to give a general opinion on M vs AMG, having owned and driven many high performance cars. I already said that I’d understand if people preferred the look of the inferior performing car. E63S would need to compare against an M5 comp and I’d still choose the M5 because it’s just so much better, even as a daily driver. I don’t race round the streets as such and still really appreciate how much better M cars are to drive than AMGs as a daily. I also find Audis RS equivalents to be far worse than their M and AMG counterparts. In terms of interior quality, I expected AMG to be better too but was pleasantly surprised to find otherwise. AMGs look like they should be better but I find them more flimsy, especially on moving parts the paddle shifters. At the end of the day I’m glad there are people like you in the world to keep buying AMGs because it keeps M devision on their toes. If everybody switched to M and never went back then we wouldn’t get the best out of our preferred brands.

He removed his rear seats too. Weight doesn’t account for that big of a gap. The mods the 3 has helps it makes more power top end 100%. Meth injection, m5 fuel pump/injectors. You know it’s not running out of fuel in higher rpm

Not to speak about categories of supercars where BMW hasn't even the know how to build such cars. Mercedes has the richest racing car history and the most successful of all times and all brands, while BMW did win the DTM three times but that was in times where they raced volvos and saabs. As son as alfa and Mercedes entered they didn't win anything anymore ever. Last and not least, take any bmy with any amount of kilometers and any model and take a merc the same category, production year and same kilometers, and the marc is worth 30% more always . But still they produce the same power and are both on stage 3 tune. You could only blame it to the weight of the Merc but still that weight could be useful. So excuses all the way. The bimmer did well there it's weight doesn't favour its power if it was not for the tyres the BMW wouldn't grip at all and be all over the place.

The BMW is more modded u had the amg modded as much as the bmw it would Kane it easy

I mean thats exactly how it works. If the c63 spent the same, it may not have lost. You cant overly look into the times, as it's over this specific distance. The gap would of increased had they carried on.

Built motor was built to handle the power. If the merc was built and still making 800 bhp, youd have the same results. About the weight, thats something mercs cant really do much about since they come factory heavy. Rear seat delete saves you maybe 10 LBS at most lol. Thats not even 5 kilos ive weighed these seats

@@evtpr3dat0rx62 the prob with the merc is the old 7 speed, the newer 9 speed is much better and they have to much Torque. Have to get bigger turbos to not push so much torque that the clutch keeps slipping, or of course a top clutch. The merc is hevay .because quality and comfourt have their price. My friend has a m3 csl, dear lord, ou cant have a normal conversation in that car. Squeaky like my tubby ducky

The merc got of the line first each time so tyres wouldn't change much. Extra weight and a slower gearbox is why it lost. BMW gapped it
