You know what's funny about this. It's how those 3 cars match the guys personality perfectly... - Jeremy as always doing crazy stuff (The MERC) - Richard always trying to focus on precise driving dynamics (the BMW) - And James always trying to be subtle (the AUDI) They just match perfectly to their car 😉
Selah Psalms 108:3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations./Inspiration+Song is something that may bring people from very disparate parts of life together, for songs can reach beyond borders and into peoples’ lives. Therefore it may get stuck in their heads, or stay with them for years on end, the words or tune affixed to a special time and memory. Would it be preposterous to suggest we treat Gods’ love like such a melody? Is it not after all, something immaterial but which moves us in some deep and knowing way? Literally, spread songs of joy amongst friends and nations, if you can, seek out other religious songs in other tongues. Figuratively sing His praise, let it be one of your favorite songs to carry with you wherever you go./Prayer+Lord Almighty, hear my songs of praise, hear my love for You rising up like a melody. Remind me that it is just as important to speak Your name as it is to sing it. Grant me this audience Lord, just as I wish to hear it from others. May it please You, may it harmonize with Your promise of everlasting life and eternal grace. Amen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ELU3RTalSl0.html
Mercedes is still keeping up with this. For the next C class there will be no 6 cyl engine. So the model numbers will have no relation to the engine as they used to. Bizarre.
@@yanava They've been doing that for years! The A45 with its 2.0 turbo and the C63 became a 4.0 back in 2014... (though it did at least remain a V8). BMW aren't much better. M135i now equals 2.0 4 pot, X5M50d (stupid car all round) has a 3.0d with 4 turbos.... And don't even get me started on the insanity of Audi's model designation system!! lol Time to just face facts and accept that by this point, electrics are clearly the way to go ☹
Ohhh God, this type of comment is seriously getting soooo old. Just get over it will ya. And also it's not like they just retired. You can watch them on the Grand Tour
That´s true. But when you don´t have the Money to buy all of them and live in Germany the C63 as T-Modell is the best Solution. It will still outrun any RS4 or M3 on the Autobahn, has plenty of Space (f.e. for Skiing Equipment or Transport of a Wardrobe or even a TVR Griffith Windscreen). And since the normaly aspirated Engine is slighly underpowered (73,7 DIN HP per Litre) Tuning up to 520 DIN HP per Litre is no Problem at all. And then the Drag-Race looks completely different. You would´nt see the M3 nowhere nearby the C63. That´s why i bought the C63.
+Franky Leandri RS4 for the bad weather, M3 for the track, M3 for the road... My dad owns a M3 4-door and a C63 AMG Estate. We drove both, the M3 is 10 times more comfy and has better seats. C63 is too handful and to hard ride... C63 failed also the fuel consumption badly, the M3 was more economical... The M3's exhaust is loud, 9000 RPM, unlike the C63 which is "more quite" but it's all Brapbrap :)
When May says "ostentatious and ghastly" he makes it sound so hilarious. Like when he says infantile it makes him sound like a hilarious Victorian-era nobleman.
This episode is the perfect example of why Top Gear is so popular. All three of them have different personalities so they view every car in a slightly different way and like different types of cars. That makes things more interesting and pleases just about anyone that would be watching. I'm personally between Jeremy and Richard.
I love how everyone's like 'Audi kills Merc and BMW bitches', or 'Merc is da best'... Lets be honest, none of you have any of them, and you're about 14 years old. Go back to bed
rs4 b7 rules it's the best out of all them period could of bought either of the 6.3 or rs4 ahhhhhh rs4 thanks !!!! and it's a summer sunny day car only will try in the rain for fun but sunny days only rs4 for life
I'd have taken the C63 (or even the M3 but I don't like what the brand convoys) if I was living in a sunny place with no rain but realistically, the RS4 is way more practical, you can still exploit it to its full potential even in bad conditions. So, it'll be the Audi for me, not as fun to drive as the C63/M4 but the best all around car (no one takes his/her M3/C63 to the track anyway).
This is the clip that first introduced me to Top Gear. The sound of Captain Slow saying "Both of those cars are ostentatious and gastly" is a perennial childhood memory. Cheers, Guys
the Audi and Merc are 4 door saloons first while the M3 is a coupe... Yes they didn't have the 4 door version of the M3 but why is anyone surprised or impressed that it's better on a track than the saloons? It's a luxury sports barge not a practical sports saloon
Doesn't that M3 look lovely and also remarkably discreet compared to todays M3!? Same goes for the Audi. The design language of both brands (but BMW especially) has really taken a nose dive since this was shot!
Probably my favourite top gear episode. Cos of these 3 cars. This was the last generation where the 3 manufacturers still had their USP before everyone went to AWD turbos.
On a track, I'd want the M3. For fun and a laugh, I'd have the mad Mercedes... But to live with, the RS4 is what I'd have over all. Combines everything in one
So around two years later after i read your comment... I now had a C63 W204 and RS5 B8. You don't want to absolutely live with a sporty Audi!!! Never ! Its plain cheaper to waste 600$ per year on new tyres on the merc and higher insurance. Than to own the Audi and pull out the engine every time you need to service something. They are absolutely horrible to maintain. I NEVER had problems with the merc. Not even a single thing failed. On the Audi, it was constantly something BIG every 5 months.
Some people really should do their homework. 1) Yes it should have been RS5 instead of RS4 but the RS5 wasnt out when that episode was made. and 2) The three German rival brand's comparsions are now C63 AMG Sedan vs M3 (RS4 is estate) /RS5 vs M4 vs C63 AMG Coupe /RS6 vs M5 vs E63 AMG /RS7 vs M6 Gran Coupe vs CLS63 AMG and /S8 vs S65 AMG vs 760Li
Before the torque of turbos and electric motors meant 4 wheels were needed. Honestly I don’t really mind the ballistic acceleration we get from newer cars.
even after many years. The C63 AMG still looks modern to this day and so is the engine figures. BMW fanboys can see how all the AMG engines held up their reliability.
***** The original comment was "M Power, AMG Power and Quattro Power" BMW's M refers to ENGINES that are M tuned Mercede's AMG refers to ENGINES that are AMG tuned Audi's Quattro refers to the all-wheel-drive technology, and has nothing to do with the engine. What I'm saying is that AMG, M and Quattro are not similar at all.
I think it's very interesting that back when this video was made, everyone expected the Audi to be the slowest off the line because it had an AWD system. Today, everyone expects the AWD car to be the fastest off the line
I wouldn't say "everyone" expected the Audi to be slower because of it's 4WD. It's just Jeremy talking nonsense, as usual. Anyone with a brain always knew 4WD would make for better traction when launching.
That's not from series 10 episode 9, i have it on my computer and the real episode 9 from series 10 is the Endurance race with the diesel BMW at Silverstone / Ascari A10 test and the Fiat 500 vs BMX
Troubleshooter125 and also people these days will take their cars once or twice to the track while they will keep racing everyday between the red lights so the merc is the boss
The Mercedes uses the most fuel, therefore helps the economy, helps other people. Clearly the winner in that matter. Yeah, really a peace&love car if you think about it.
