Ursula, the EU comissioner, 2 years ago: Russian economy will collapse, the ruble will lose its value and Russia will suffer greatly. Russia two years later: #1 economy in europe and still growing while the EU suffers.
first growth not first economy dont missunderstand if lets say Afganistan grow 12% this year means its greatest economy in the world? pls educated yourself
@@lipids7185 GDP per capita is an an inportant economic health indicator, also manufacturing activity, international trade, foreign investment and stability. All of these indicators are well on the positive side in Russia and are stagnant or low/negative in the EU countries. BTW Afghanistan favours greatly from Russia's and the BRICS investments.
@@lipids7185 The Russian economy ranks 5th among countries in the world and 1st among European countries in terms of GDP in PPP terms, which for 2023 was estimated at $5.51 trillion (according to the IMF). Greetings from Russia, my incredulous friend))
I just saw the Tucker Carlson interview and Putin speaks about this in quite depth. He speaks about trading in Yuan and Rubel instead of the USD which has helped the Russian economy. He also speaks about the negative impact of sanctions on the USD (as countries look for other alternatives reducing the impact of the USD) and why Germany's economy is suffering so much.
The US is now leading the world in LPG and LNG production and supplying much of Europe. Russia is still allowed to export petroleum products but at a deficit no matter what form of currency they trade it in.
why should BBC or anyone pay attention what are Russian officials saying? I remember how they were informing about performance of soviet economy when I was young (I lived in one of the USSR satellite countries). They would always pick some number (how much steel was made, how much coal was mined or how we managed to fulfil the five-year plan to 108% etc) ... on the outside it always looked that we were growing and performing like never before... and then it all suddenly collapsed mainly for economic reasons. Putin and his mafia cronies are just extension of the same politics based on lying and bullshitting people.
Considering the billions of pounds that vanished during the Covid years, do you suspect we have many dubious people within our political, and social infrastructures?
@@lipids7185 How to corrupt? So the dollar is just a printer, and you do not see corruption there? Do you know how the is money supposed to be printed? Do you think the rule is to print as much as you want? If that were the case, we could all have printers at home and all be rich. You need to back your bills with assets. It used to be gold (one of the reasons the US killed Gaddafi), or oil (that's why invaded Iraq, Syria, Libya, and keeps tight sanctions on Venezuela, Iran or Russia). The US isn't backing the money on anything apart from wars, where they destroy small weak countries to profit. But the real power of the US isn't their army. Remove the salaries of those soldiers, and let's see how many of them will be willing to die for their nation. LOL The real power is the Dollar, as all transactions around the World MUST be done in Dollars. Now, for a minute, think how much money is moved around the World EVERY DAY. And now apply a 0.1% commission. Check how much money the US profits from this. Now the problem is: BRICS (even if they are corrupt as you say) are going to trade on their own currencies, surpassing the Dollar. That means that the volume is going to be reduced, and therefore, the value of the commission. It is plain mathematics. So you can understand it better: The volume of transactions between Russia and China only (among themselves) was over $240b last year. This is only product exports between the 2. If you apply the commission I mentioned, is $240m. I bet 2024, in total, including the new nations that joined BRICS, will go over £1t, which means a $1b commission lost. See where I am going? It isn't about the corruption, but about the profit the US is losing. And knowing how the world is shifting, this decline will accelerate year after year.
So you think the US are the ones. We all tried them and now realise that they are not the saviour of humanity. They don’t believe in their own policies only for themselves. Kingdoms rise and fall look at history. In another 15 years we will see the outcome depending on warmongers.
It's a no brainer, without cheap Russian energy, Europe is slowly de-industrialized, G7 countries such as Germany, Italy, Fance and UK, their economic are struggling and suffering. Where else Russia, due Western sanctions is ramming up domestic industrial activities to maintain domestic demand, replacing Western goods and service that have left Russia. 🤔
Russia is also clearly lying like China does.... Tell me why industrial pollution is lower but gdp is higher...... 😂😂 Let's be clear: western analysts believed Russians data was reliable before the war (unlike China which is garbage data), but now a lot of things don't make sense anymore...... Russia is lying, don't get me wrong Russia is doing pretty fine but it actually decreased a little (2/3%) it's not doing great. And the gap between China and the USA actually increased 😂😂 no one think China will ever take the USA now.
I live in Russia and what you are saying has some truth to it, most western marks got replaced by either Russian products locally made or products from the global south like China, Iran and Georgia(interestingly), but there are hichups concerning heavy industry. Most big industries are working on war economy and no new factories are actually opening(at least not as fast as they should) when the war stops sooner or later the war economy style must end bringing large concerns over how will we reorganize our heavy industry.
We must push BRICS to new height for humanity, pecae, stability. As Dr S Jaishankar said too many are in mercy of too few and he pointed out it is time to change this and India supports multiple polar world.
Bricks as in brics! Can’t understand India’s position on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. If China invades, you better not ask for support from western countries. I suggest you call brics, which China is a member!
Russian economy growth shows the unity of the global south, well done India and China 🇨🇳 also Iran and others who are on lines as well. When the forces of destruction are embarking for their hegemonies by the old methods divided rule now thanks global south stood firmly against evils.
Nearly half their economy is building weapons against Ukraine, which get destroyed and then they must build them again. Thats a “self-licking” ice cream cone. Not much of an economy.
@@weblitera Classic whataboutism. Won't help Russia this time, thou. Their 3 day war turned into a quagmire. Decades of sanctions to come, not to mention friendship with NK and Iran. What a miscalculation! If it's a victory to conquer 18% of Ukraine in 2 years, so be it. They have shown us how mediocre they really are. Two years ago we thought they where a strong and powerful military force. Not anymore.
True ! Not to mention it was actually Ukraine that first invaded Russia on February 17 but that's a little known fact for some reason. I guess it was suppressed by the Western media.
True it was Ukraine that started all this shit and Putin was asked to do something about it it's all coming out the English people don't want to know the truth
True. And from recent Putin interview with Carlson, we learned that Russia did a lot to achieve peace until it was spoiled by the imperialist Borris Johnson
When russ sold its resources cheaply to European exclusively it remained lagging behind. Now that Russia has pivoted towards the East, it is finally prospering.
not true ,then why Soviet Union collapses? the Soviets was way more patriots and strong than Russia, you have to understand if your country is running from oligarchs or with religion criteria you have to know the fail is obvious.
@@lipids7185 USSR collapsed because of communism ideology utopia and absence of market economy. Russia is capitalist country with free market for more then 30 years now with one of the lowest tax rates in the world. So it is very different country now
No, Russia still doesn't have micro chips, and their scientists aren't allowed to buy any equipment for R&D of weapons.Ukraine has destroyed most of Russia's natural gas and oil refineries during the war. Russia is going broke, and what technologies they have made for weapons have either been destroyed or captured by Ukraine and sent to allied nations to be studied.
It's only in your dreams. As for micro chips - only few countries have that technology but maybe Russia don't need to chase that and go straight to quantum computing. But you sound vaccinated brother
@@Vitamin_71 This only shows you don´t know or understand the sanctions! 1 sanction may be a sanction AGAINST ONE PERSON (like Putin)... another sanction against his wife and so forth.. the WASTE majority of the sanctions are sanctions against PEOPLE who work with or benefit from Putin´s dictatorship. Sanctioned are ALSO groups like Wagner. Then there are sanctions on electronic parts that can be used for the military, including aviation parts. - The ironic funny thing is that Russians have had blogs, walking to grocery stores claiming "look at the prices under sanction"... most likely NONE of the items in the store was under sanctions.
You mean Africa and North Korea, not China. You steal, don't get the game of Putin. His plan is to strave the west from natural resources and what part of the world has natural resources? Don't worry, I will wait. China, Japan, North Korea, Arab countries etc all are in Africa. Why? Ask yourself this too: What do you think Italian prime minister invited Africans leaders to Rome? China is busy doing its own thing. South Africa has a closer relationship with Russia than China has with Russia. Now, the Niger, Burkina faso, Mali. Chad has just joined Russia, and French are scared now. Congo wants UK, USA, French including the UN out of their country, China is already in Congo building infrastructures, what do you think Russia next move is going be? Congo is next for Russia. Sudan already has Russia. All the trade deals Russia is doing is in Africa.
You can have growth despite having a budget deficit if you throw money in factories that produce shells tanks etc. Russias biggest advantage compared to other g7 countries is that it has zero external debt and has a great autonomy in natural resources. So when you say that Russia has the same economy with Italy it is not correct because Italy is in full debt.
Someone is very stupid, they hide their fear behind this stupid concept of nominal GDP. Total industrial output is measured in tonnage of production. A person with 1 USD in New York can buy, perhaps, a chocolate bar. For the same 1 USD, someone can have a lunch portion worth of food in Mumbai. Both only have 1 USD, but one can get only snacks, the other one gets his stomach full. Think of Russia and NATO the same, but in terms of artillery and tank production.
I am not from Russia and i am very far from Russia. The good thing about Russian is that they will always tell you the truth whether it is a bad thing or a good thing for you. I also like Russia for always using the war as the last resort.
Tuckers face was even browner than usual , he’s clearly had his head stuck up somewhere , the interview was very sycophantic and Putin schooled him he’s being touted as the next Russian special envoy to the united states
Bro Western countries and western alleged countries represent more than 60% of global GDP. That number has been stable for about a decade now. What they did not mention in this report was why Russia's economy was growing last year. The answer is that it is due to the massive increase in military spending, and government spending in other related industries. Russia has doubled its military spending since before the war. The military budget is now 6.5% of GDP. This spending is not sustainable, however, as Russia had a budget deficit of 10%, which is equivalent to about 3 trillion rubles, in 2023. I think it is very strange that this report chose to emit this. It is not like economists are surprised that Russia is growing when it is pumping its reserves directly into the economy to produce munitions.
Only bigots belive BRICS is a serious thing 😂😂😂😂 And China is declining according to every serious economist while India is increasing...... And tons of economists say it has to do with westerns bringing everything out of China mostly to India.......... Just yesterday paki said 100 billions agreements is ready for India from Europe...... You say west is loosing? I say the west is winning the global game....... Russia is not an economic rival at all 😂😂 Russia has a gdp smaller than Italy 😂 How brics will work with China declining India with ENORMOUS economic relations with the west....... South Africa is a joke I am not even considering it, and Brazil is way way closer to the west than to China 🤦🏻♂️ seriously 😂
Is god for unjustified invasions? Is god for hundreds of thousands of young men losing their lives in war just so a dictator can rule over a marginally larger country?
Their economy is growing because all the companies rebranded themselves also their arms industry started selling to Asian countries arms.War in ukraine proved that the Russian arms are eficient against Nato weapons and that resulted in 55% raise into their arms exports and their economy started growing
Wait, wait, we take the chip out of washing machines, and we only produce combat shovels, and we have run out of all equipment, what other exports are you talking about, stop immediately, this is a provocation))))
This is really good. Thanks for sharing this important information. As a proud Indian🇮🇳, I really love ♥ and have a lot of respect for the incredible work of Palki's highly captivating story regarding *How British looted 45 trillion from India* which unquestionably stands as a masterpiece of the highest quality. The content of the reporting is truly inspiring, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. The dedication, talent and hard work poured into the video are greatly appreciated by many. The Indian Union Public Service Commission has delivered a remarkable report titled संघ लोक सेवा आयोग *How Britishers killed 1.8 billion Indians. Chronology of British Raj's exploitative policies* | UPSC," is equally astounding. The Indian government consistently produces insightful and thought-provoking articles of the utmost caliber, and I sincerely hope they continue to produce such interesting exceptional work. Can it even get better than that? It should deserve an award for best report of the year. Thanks for telling the truth. Your show was really entertaining. I adore your passion
First, it was done over a very long period of 200+ years. Not all in one go. And it was the British policies and laws implemented that killed 1.8 billion Indians, not that they were executed
The two main policies that wiped out 1.8 billion Indians are: 1: Allocation of food: Since the British were at war all the time, they didn't have people to do the farming. They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week. 2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion. The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.
Drawing upon my expertise in the behaviors and nesting habits of Indians, I can definitively state that Indians did not resist the invaders; instead, the invaders, including the British and various others, eventually withdrew when there is nothing left but a population of one billion Indians grappling with poverty and illiteracy-a challenging situation that nobody was eager to tackle.
I have Western friends working in Russia I kept telling people there is an economic boom in Russia and people kept telling me I was lying. He who laughs last laughs longest :)

The problem of the west, they look themselves as messengers everything they predict must happen, but they forget that God has his plans too!! Proud of u Putin
I cannot speculate if present Putin is divinely inspired, but our governments are too eager to tell the rest of the world how to conduct their affairs. And I sincerely believe this war could have been avoided if the USA, and Western European governments had not whispered sweet BS into president Zelenskyy's ears.
And Russia ran out of missiles 2 years ago, and their troops are fighting only with shovels and repurposed wicrowave chips - madame Ursula said it, so it must be true LOL
Sure bro. Russia is taking its reserves and making weapons with it. The GDP growth literally just comes from an increase in government spending. Oil and gas revenues represent a majority of Russia's imports and exports. Those are down by 30% since the start of the war. Literally, every economist is saying the same thing. I don't know why this video presented it like the West is surprised that Russia's GDP is growing on paper.

As a Russian, I can say the following. Russia is united today more than ever. Yes, there are economic problems. But there are enough passionaries in Russia to work for the common good of the whole country. However, there are not enough workers, because 800 thousand men went to the front.
Large-cap stocks and ETFs typically deliver relatively stable returns during periods of heightened volatility and can be great for investors aiming to minimize risk. Renewed buying strength in markets in September and October. I want to invest more than $300k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk.
Spreading your investments across different sectors and asset classes can help manage risk. Diversification can protect your portfolio from the impact of a downturn in any one area of the market.

Because of the issues between Ukraine and Russia, and the Western sanctions on Russian oil, India has been purchasing oil in record quantities from Russia for over a year now.
India stopped purchasing overpriced Russia gas and oil 7 month ago. Now we have 30 billion dollar deal with Qatar for gas and purchase oil from Venezuela.
