Alien Breed (1991) uncut main theme by Allister Brimble.
Back when i was granted the right to upload videos longer than 15 minutes, i decided to upload this 17-minute "uncut" version to celebrate the occasion.
Brimble offered free mp3 download of this version at the old mp3.com website many years ago. While being the same composition, it has heavier stereo join effect (or something similar) along with some kind of reverb (room) effect.

I still remember the red screen and the alarm blaring when you were backtracking to escape after killing the queen. First amiga game I beat in my life and still the most treasured. Best musi ever!

Worst thing you could hear in the game was not the "aliens".. It was the words "Destruction imminent". Had so much fun back then. Anyone else who had the original Commodore screen to their A500? (PS: Still have the game on emulator)

Every single of these sounds have so much impact. I'm amazed that guy Brimble crammed so many feelings into so few bytes. The best tune of amiga music for sure !

LOVED this tune, and what a game. I could not figure out how it was done with only 4 channels

+SirEakster Back then a few trackers could "dither" each of the 4 channels available in the Amiga. If you had a cpu that was fast enough, you could "split" a single channel in two, this way it was possible to get up to 8 tracks/channels and make more complex compositions. Try and Google "Oktalyzer for Amiga".

This track was done in Brian Postma's sound engine, it's still 4 channels and the advantage over Soundtracker was that you could have sounds synthesized instead of just samples alone. Some samples have multiple things in them such as chords, to fit into the 4 channels yet sound so full. Sound engineering can make the biggest difference! :3 (the Roland U110 choir chords in this still have such an amazing atmosphere)

@@mindfieldmusic8161 I ripped the MOD back then. It's really only in 4 tracks. The 8 track hack reduced the already low sound quality of the 8bit samples. This tune just used clever sample swapping and use of different sample start points.

Epic, one of the first "serious" games I played that gave me goosebumps. Intro music played a large part in setting the mood!

This is by FAR the best computer tune EVER made! (imo) :P - So detailed and such a perfect match to the game :) And by the way, i like the original better (sorry allister, i know it was hard for you to do the replica on your studio equipment, or so i've read) - For those of you who haven't heard the original, please do your self a favor, and find it on youtube.... Its ....... perfect!.....! - That being said, this version is also COOL, i idd like the funky ending at 4:03 too :P

can pick up an Amiga for £60 off ebay... not sure how one really comes across Amiga games though... cant imagine its so easy... but would LOVE to get this game back... i want to be 9 years old again.
