Amiga tank Mouse by Lukas Remis Review 

My good lady wife got me the wireless tank mouse for my birthday, including the 9-pin adapter to use it on my A1200 as well as Bluetooth to my PC.

I was originally disappointed in mine because the very thin sliding feet aren’t thick enough and it rubbed on the mouse pad. I ended up ordering some different mouse feet on Amazon and am much happier with its feel.

SOLD! Going over to Sordan to order one right now! I wonder if I can paint the buttons black to match my keycaps...

I am soooooo dum. Mine arrived the other day(and I'd almost forgotten about it) and after a few minutes of usage I put it aside as a novelty toy because I missed a scroll wheel. And then now you tell me there's a touch scroll wheel on it... And I thought "no way", is this April fools and you're pulling my leg. It works great AND NOW I LOVE IT!!!!! It might even be preferable to a scroll wheel. Why isn't every mouse maker doing this? Yes, I never really read or kept up with the Kickstarter past my initial backing. I AM BLOWN AWAY!!!! There is nothing at all on the unit's surface to indicate it is a touch wheel. It is voodoo I tells ya. I still couldn't believe it until I tried it. What an impressive way to keep the aesthetics and the retro. It's sooo well done. I just wish it was a little darker to match my A1000 or C64. I did vote on the colour but there is only so much you can tell from voting on an image. I presume it matches A500s and A1200s better.

I noticed the Amazon batteries in there. That’s what I use. I miss getting my batteries at Radio Shack.

Please do a review of The Filtrete next!! I kid. Thank you for covering this. I’ve been WAITING to see what it’s all about.

It also supports to be used on Atari XL and c64 using the 9 pin dongle. It would have been interesting to see it work on those computers too!

Hi I got two of them through the kickstarter one of each. It works very nice with the 9 pin on my A 1200.

I bought both a black and white one through the Kickstarter campaign as I couldn't make up my mind 🙂. The mouse would be super-awesome if it had a hidden thumb-button; that's not a criticism -- I use the thumb-buttons in my daily work and I do miss it when I use the Tank Mouse.

I wanted one, but then I saw that it's 50€ + 19% VAT and ~12€ shipping to Germany, so it would cost me around 72€. And i don't think it's worth that to me. Would probably be more affordable if it was available from local stores and wouldn't have to be imported.

I would like one for my a1200 I just don't know which db9 to usb adapter to buy that has scroll wheel support.

Would it work with Logitech's Unified Receiver?

You could kill someone with the original if you swung at them. Definitely could be used in the bush to hunt food. The new one would leave a small red bump and comes with retaliation. Anyway planning to buy one for computing reasons 😃

has the lag on the amiga version been fixed doug ?. i saw this on bills channel 18 months ago he said it lagged alot .

Looks nice but I'll pass as it's too pricey by the time it gets to the United States. That and the lag breaks it for me. Good idea though.

The tank mouse looks is flawed. The batteries drain within a week. Unless you like to swap out batteries instead of dealing with a cord, avoid this product.
