Always stay humble and kind. Never listen to negative people. Stay close to God and he will bless you and family. I love your voice ,makes me feel like I'm in heaven
Today I heard your voice. A manifestation of God when he blesses a human being with the Gift of captivating with such a voice. I hope one day to be at your concert, with my daughter who is almost your age. Said your parents and you from Peru. Blessings in everything. God willing.
Delightful. Wish it had been longer. What is astonishing, besides her voice and singing, is her poise and intelligence in dealing with adults, and her amazing ability in holding a very articulate and interesting conversation. At her age, 9, I certainly was utterly incapable of such a level of meaningful and fluent exchange of ideas, and same thing for all the children I knew. Her intelligence and the solidity of her personality are truly remarkable. She is not just a prodigious voice, but an exciting and charismatic visual personality, a vital aspect which counts as much in her appeal to audiences. I am one of those who are fascinated by the character side of her personality, her intelligence, her rhetorical facility, her practical sense, her sense of discipline, her systematic pursuit of well-defined goals and interests - singing and athletics - her will to excel and to win, her acute need for recognition and applause, and, at the same time, her sensitivity as manifested in her generosity to African children deprived of the simplest amusement equipment and toys of infancy. This is why I believe her videos and DVDs may prove so much more interesting and fascinating than her pure voice talent alone. We have to hope that Simon Cowell will take note of that important factor, and focus also on producing DVDs as much as CDs.
Roosje Keizer Tout à fait d’accord avec vous, notre Amira est une enfant remarquable, elle doit être protégée du start system, ses parents veillent. Nous ses admirateurs, l’aimons, et souaitons qu'elle reste une enfant malgré tout.
I instinctively distrust the well-meaning, but ordinary advice from ordinary well-wishers that are applicable only to ordinary children. They are in fact irrelevant, even detrimental, to the development of skills by exceptional children. Few people have real experience with gifted children, even less with child prodigies. They try to impose their limited knowledge and lack of experience on innocent talented children. The great stars of opera singing were those lucky enough to gain at an early age the attention of expert, established singers as teachers and mentors. I much prefer the guidance of a real mentor who has gone the route herself, and is the best judge of how to manage the development of a child prodigy like Amira. For instance, most valuable is the sentiment of Kiri Te Kanawa, who advises in "What makes a great soprano", if you've got the luck of having the talent to become an opera singer, in spite of the work, in spite of the difficulties, in spite of the sacrifices along the way, and the constant traveling, you've got to go for it. No whimpering, or sanctimonious warnings from ordinary well-meaning people about those poor defenseless, threatened, exploited, talented children. Becoming a great opera singer is not for the meek of heart, or ordinary children, but only for those young singers who have - in addition to obvious talent - determination, discipline, a burning desire to learn and the ability to improve, plus an irrepressible will to succeed. The only worthwhile advice comes, not from ordinary amateurish well-wishers, but from experienced great singers and musical experts, who've gone the route, know what it involves, and can judge if a young singer has the voice and fiber to make it. And in the case of Amira Willighagen, she got the nod from three established musical experts with great experience in dealing with promising young singers: Cornelis (Gordon) Heuckeroth, Andre Rieu, and Simon Cowell. This is a very good omen for Amira, and a strong encouragement to follow Kiri Te Kanawa's advice: go, Amira, go for it.
Reuel T Some journalist you are. "she WON two x-country marathon races in 2012, 2014". What was the length of these "marathon races"? You're dreaming. Those were little races for 8-year and 10-year old kids. Perhaps one or two miles, if that much. Two miles is already a substantial race. I was a two-mile runner in college, and I can assure it is not an easy race even for adults. Her winning times are posted, its' a matter of minutes. Some marathons, indeed! You're smoking too much. No newspaper would ever hire you. You simply don't know what facts are.
Reuel T Interesting comment; I have never thought of Kiri te Kanawa/kumara which is what we call her ( kumara is sweet potato) as being gracious, as when she first made it big,she wouldn't sing in New Zealand, because there was no venue befitting to her status, and that didn't go down too well with us Kiwis at all. She took a Maori name rather than her own given name to add an exotic flavour.
No cabe duda k eres un angel. Wow! M encanta. Oirte k voz. Dios!! Cantas como. Un angel. Dios t bendiga amira!! Lluvia de bendiciones para ti. Desde Los angeles Ca. :)

Amira. Stay close to Jesus. and you will not ruin your life. thank you for sharing your voice with the world, but don't share anything else. never change like the other child-stars. Amira's mom, brother and Father. No money is worth the happiness of ANY child. May God give you wisdom and free you from temptation.
Amira is an arabic name not a muslim (religious) name. means Princess since most arabs are muslims, so it looks so. more or less old name... not many are called amira.. i guess the name fits her character pretty good

Absolutely! The vultures will certainly descend on this magnificent talent. I hope she has the proper protection. I also hope she follows her own course.
Political correctness and multiculturalism by Dutch leaders are destroying The Netherlands. People are seeing the changes and now don't want to be a social disaster like South Africa. The Dutch should be proud of their culture and heritage. Amira's persona and talent embodies what is great about the Dutch.
I don't like her voice being manipulated by others. She's not able to best express herself. She has to feel the music. She doesn't sound as natural or as good when this happens. (My opinion)
Song title is: Nella Fantasia (In My Fantasy). Sarah Brightman of Phantom of the Opera fame was able to get permission to add lyrics to Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe, the theme from the movie The Mission. It is one of the most powerful movie from the 80s starring Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons:))
