Of course people smile and have tears of happiness when they hear Amira,s voice. This fact is exactly the reason why in America the veteran hospitals use her music as therapie for veterans suffering PTSS ,with great results. Love to listen to Amira, saw her first time she sang with Andre Rieu's orchestra when she was nine. What a beautiful voice she has. Also, would like to hear some more David Phelps 😊

this is from a opera from verdi , most of her songs are actually arias not songs and are italian she actually started her singing with a puccini piece.

Amira has already sung in at least 9 different languages, three of which she is fluent in, namely Afrikaans, Dutch and English. She has also sung in the following languages: Italian (which is THE language of opera and also the language of the aria "La vergine degli angeli"), Latin, German, French, Spanish and Swedish. Moreover she has sung "O sole mio" which is a Neapolitan song (dialect that is spoken in Naples/Italy) and "Amigos para siempre" which is mainly in English with a few words in Spanish (Castellan) and Catalan (language spoken in Catalonia/Spain). Last but not least she has sung the song "Halleluja" (just one word that is repeated over and over again) which is Hebrew.

As someone already mentioned, this aria is from the opera: la forza del destino (power of destiny) from the most famous opera composer G. Verdi. It is a prayer. The opera is written in Italian. It is one of my favorites. But then I am an opera lover! And when I see and hear your reaction I am sure you could be one too! 😘

In the stage version the male choir is off stage. In this concert arrangement they are in full view so that we may appreciate the interplay more fully. Same with the instrumentalists.

Singing in languages that you don't speak isn't that unusual. The singer simply learns how the song should sound without worrying about what the sounds mean. I am a choir singer with no training, and still have sung in at least a dozen languages.
