Great first reaction and welcome to the wonderful world of Amira, who was born on 27th March 2004, so was only 12 for this performance. About to turn twenty, Amira is already the greatest and most beloved soprano of all time to her millions of fans! Amira puts her heart and soul into every song and all the emotion she puts into the song comes from the lyrics which are: In My Fantasy In my imagination I see a fair world, Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there. I dream of souls that are always free, Like the clouds that fly, Full of humanity in the depths of the soul. In my imagination I see a bright world, Even the night is less dark there. I dream of souls that are always free, Like clouds that fly. In my imagination there exists a warm wind, That breathes on the cities, like a friend. I dream of souls that are always free, Like clouds that fly, Full of humanity in the depths of the soul. Cheers from Australia
This beautiful aria with music by Ennio Morricone from the film “The Mission,” and lyrics added by Chiara Ferraù is about an imaginary world of peace and harmony. I presume the implication is that this is the fantasy of the missionary which provokes enormous irony. The “mission” of the missionary is to persuade the indigenous people to abandon their cultural traditions and superstitions in favor of the missionary’s culture and superstitions. Europeans generally regarded indigenous peoples to be “savages” in need of “salvation.” So the fantasy is presumably about a world of European culture and superstition, rather than of any sort of diversity or inclusion.
What a great reaction. The music is from a film called The Mission, written by Ennio Morricone. The first part, the introduction, is called The River. The main part tune is known as Gabriel 's Oboe. It is called Nella Fantasia from the added lyrics. - In my fantasy, I dream of a world where people are free, like the clouds that fly.... Amira was 12 when she sang this video, there is a video of her singing it at school aged 8. So she'd had a little practice. Heavenly? Certainly. Many have described Amira as an angel descended to sing to us, and raise our spirits. Her father was an organist at their local church, there are quite a few videos of Amira singing with her father's backing. Gesu Bambino is one. When you wish upon a star is another.
just 13 in this performance. Since her first three performances in Hollands got Talent she hasn't stopped with performances out of this world. see/listen to them all, don't miss any.
Wow.. I really enjoyed that! I'm a long time fan of Amira's but I never heard anyone jam with one of her songs before. That was fun.. More Amira jams -Please...😊
Hello. What a nice and moving first reaction to Amira Willighagen ! Indeed, this was one of the most angelic performances by Amira, who was only 12 years old at the time of the concert "Afrikaans is groot", in november 2016 (she had yet performed the same.tune in a previous South African concert in july 2016). Now she's going to be 20 in a couple of days. She has just started her music studies at the university of Pretoria, and continues to sing better and better. Besides, this piece of music was composed in 1986 by the great Ennio Morricone as an original soundtrack for the movie The Mission, with Robert de Niro and Jeremy Irons. The Italian lyrics were added a few years later by Sarah Brightman. In the movie, the theme begins with a wonderful oboe solo... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ixby9BzJfEo.htmlsi=IbdTH87KHEq8uz5U And yes, more Amira jams, please ! 😊
Good thing you found her. Many reactors have stated that Amira Willighagen is the only one in this world. It is generally believed that Amira is an angel or an emissary from another planetary system. I agree with that opinion.
Great reaction. Amira is always Amazing and angelic. Please do more of her. She won HGT at 9 yo. And raised a foundation to build playgrounds in very poor zones in Southafrica and other needs. She donates half of her incomes. She was 12 in this performance and soon she Will turno 20. She improves each time.
Ennio Morricone created the music originally for the film, The Mission. Sarah Brightman wanted to add words. At first Ennio refused but was badgered into agreeing. The words were supplied by Chiara Ferrau and Sarah was the first to sing it. Amira was 12 here.

The first 2 minutes is another Ennio Morricone composition called "The River" with the voices of the Mzansi Youth Choir, then Amira comes on stage for Nella Fantasia.
THIS IS WHAT AN ANGEL MOST PROBABLY SOUNDS LIKE - THANK YOU GOD FOR GIFTING AMIRA WITH SUCH HEAVENLY TALENT - THANK YOU KENMUSIC FOR YOUR REACTION TO OUR ANGEL AMIRA - 777 BOER BEN
Nice guy and i know he means well, but the things i hear are positive reactions about the orchestra, the choir, the strings and written notes all together make this song angelic. True, but with all due respect, no reaction to Amira,s OUT OF THIS WORLD STUNNING VOICE. Only that her face looks like a adult face. 🤔.
