I could tell right away they weren't Pennsylvania Amish just by the buggy carriage style and their coverings. I live in Kinzers, PA. The heart of Amish country. ✌❤✝🙏
They are different from Pennsylvania Amish. Pennsylvania Amish are pretty standard in their dress and hair. You rarely see Amish youth wear flip flops and such bright colored shirts, and almost all males wear hats regardless of the weather or age. Another difference is that the Amish in PA wear darker colors with some exceptions. The Amish in PA are very standard when it comes to seasonal clothing. Heavier coats for men during winter, headscarves for women during Winter (usually) and bonnets (sometime headscarves) during Summer. Aprons usually are worn by women no matter the day, but during Sunday all Amish dress their best. The Charm, Ohio buggies are also different and more elaborate than many Amish buggies in Pennsylvania, NY, Wisconsin, and some Michigan settlements. I know they aren’t reflective of all Indiana or Ohio Amish. There are other more conservative settlements in those states. There are stricter Swiss Amish in Indiana and Swartzentruber in other parts of Holmes county. Also interesting is the number if bicycles there. Amish use a very old fashioned scooter in Lancaster. Bike are used more by the Old Order Mennonites.
I found an Amish community some 60 miles from my town.I drive out after meeting a few.I get my eggs ,fruit n veggies ,in season.Buy my hog . beef from them.Whole butcher it myself. I did not know any of them ,I just pulled up to a farm,Amish,I greeted them in Jesus name and the spirit did the rest.
nice buggies and this is actually what God wanted for us. Of course in the modern US with all these car drivers high on opioids rather dangerous to drive on the roads.
@@whatsup5791 It is invented by man, not God. Just like who constructs the prisonhouse? it is caused by those who become criminals. Actually, the government wants people to go to university. But some people act in such a way that they have to go to prison.
There are "bad" people in all groups of society. The Amish are not excluded from that. Drunken buggy accidents, school till grade 8 only, rough treatment of animals, child molesters. Obviously that's not all of them, very miniscule portion. It ain't all peaches and cream either.
Does anyone stop at the stop sign in that town loll oh wait i just seen the very last buggy on the hill stopped at the corner stop sign, loll but who cares they are truly free and i am coveting them. I am sorry Lord i wish we. Could do that life style, I guess at 53 its a little late for that. But a fella can dream right lolll
