Before criticising the girls you’ve got to remember that they have been raised in a vastly different culture and lifestyle to us 🙂 they just understand the differences.
Maybe they shouldn't post videos that show their ignorance about the world. There's no crime in not knowing about the world outside of their little bubble, but you cross a line when you post videos that insult others. I guess they aren't as Godly as they pretend to be!
Woulda loved seeing so, many many more episodes of these two just shopping around at so many different places❤ J.lo inspired the Gworls to leave the Community, Thats litterly all they purchased from the grocery store! No wonder their parents didn't approve of magazines,.they wanted to change their whole lives in one episode an one shop...Beautiful girls,so sweet Hope their family will stick beside them no matter what!in the long run❤🙏🏽🦋
The part about “I don’t wanna pay for eggs I’ll just get chickens” is actually really insightful and smart. Before I continue, I understand not everyone has the space like a backyard for a couple chickens, but if people who did just got a couple pet chickens and stopped buying eggs from the grocery store, it would help our planet so much and save trillions of chickens lives. We have four chickens and four ducks. The ducks were adopted and the chickens we got from a family member who couldn’t keep them anymore. They’re freaking awesome, I love them so much ❤️ If anyone tried to hurt my chooks or duckies I’d charcoal spitroast them 🙃 Incase anyone is wondering 😅 these are their names: Ducks: Sandy, Hannah, Echo and Boy-Boy (three female, one male) Chickens: Snowflake, Nugget, Honey and Treacle (all hens) the only one named by my fam was Echo, the others already had their names when we got them. i personally love the chickens names though 😂

You go young lady, don't let your parents way of life trapped you in a stone age lifestyle. Go, be free and be smart. There's such a lot of world to see; go chase your rainbow's end, be yourself and please yourself with your own choices. Keep sweet and keep smart, who knows, we might ran into each other one day as I am on my quest also💯🏆 totally loving it.
They are clearly smarter than most of us. However they are still young and figuring things out. It was great to meet them but it seems like reality tv producers are taking advantage of them.
I grew up in the same town with the Amish . It take a lot of guts to leave the community . These ladies are used to seeing hard work. Good luck in your new adventures.
Amish ways are normal to me .just conservative.magazine really are no good they make you feel inadequate, crave things for nothing.and theres no substance significant to our life.Their food are organic.
That’s no England ffs they keep saying “the English people “ ochh wait a minute they talk another language than English ffs 🤦♂️ but the video was in American store what’s that got to do with the “English people”🤷♂️?
@@GeeGoodman Amish people call others who arent Amish "english people" it's just a blanket term for foreigners to them. no need to get so worked up over it lol
@@GeeGoodman At the time when their ancestors came to the American continent, the USA did not exist yet, so they call others English because they ruled then, or they were descendants of Anglo-Saxon colonists who later won independence from England and founded the USA. Rosanna was enjoying her time there and Maureen just kept complaining about how english do things. I agree with Rosanna "they don't have time to go out and pick twigs"
@@yeshuaislord6880 "oh wow milk in a container all ready to drink".. maureen: "oh wow you could just get a cow and milk the cow you don't need to pay for that already ready to drink milk"
This is fake, I know the Amish well. They go to large supermarkets all the time. And girls who sleep with their boyfriends and say, "Holy Crap!" can hardly be called innocent...
Almonds don't have udders; you have to whip them until they cry. That's right. You were drinking almond tears this whole time. Not only does this job traumatize hundreds of Guatemalan and Salvadorean ag-visa workers for the rest of their lives, it also takes over 9000 gallons of non-renewable ancient groundwater to produce a single almond tear.
It's so intersting to see their point of view in the supermarket. For us all this is quite normal I never thought that they'd complain about the prices or that they would be astonished that we buy food thats ready to be eaten. Very interesting!
But, then, again you have to realize there Amish and, they think people in the English world are lazy. But, you also have to look at it this way a huge majority of the Amish have lived and worked on a farm from the time they were born, they don’t realize people that are English as they like to call us that not everyone lives on a farm and that a lot of us hold jobs and, they don’t have the time on there hands to do all these things that people in the Amish world can take the time to do at there leisure. They don’t actually have little knowledge of how things out in the world actually works.
I've seen it as normal but it's still amazes me that people work themselves to the bone so much they need precut veggies and fruits. And the sticks I've always made fun of people for buying stuff like that
"That is so lazy, why wouldn't you do it yourself" As someone from England, I'm not offended by this. It's a perfectly valid and interesting question which deserves a complex answer: We were basically conditioned for decades into believing that to have things done for us, was not only nice, but good for us. We had this done because it profited the people selling us this stuff. In return, we enjoyed the convenience but it came at a giant cost - How our environment, animals, and supermarket workers are treated today.
What are you talking about conditioned, it’s called capitalism you sell your skills and purchase them you don’t have, do you think bricklayers and carpenters have the time and resources to manufacture their own food ? No one does a skilled job in trade for another’s skilled product
They are calling the Americans English because they are Germans historically speaking. They aren't talking about people from England, I know it's wrong terminology but it's how they say it, hey, what can we do about it, they talk different.
It's specialisation. The most valuable curerncy anyone has is time. Yes you could get your own chickens to get your own eggs, have a cow to get your own milk, grow and cut your own vegetables, but how much time are you gonna be spending (read: wasting) on that? Instead we've decided to delegate specific jobs of production to specific people, who can do it professionally, and generally at a higher level of quality than the average person would be able to do, which in turn frees up time for us to spend on more valuable things to us, whether it be times of leisure or work.
Right I love the innocence but also feel they have been living in a cult I am all for modesty but these girls have been suppressed and not allowed a real education and that is abusive
According to their rules, they have to. I am disappointed that they didnt make that clear in their "documentary". Lots of half truths. Would have loved to get the subtitles to what the mom actually said.
The fact they’re worried about their parents never letting them come home. How could you be such a shitty parent you’d want nothing to do with your CHILD?!! You’re supposed to love and support your child no matter what.
I agree that it's shitty how they force and even kinda blackmail their children, because of their own personal opinions and outlooks on life. Like, keep living your life however you want but let your child do the same. There is no need to push your child out of your life just because it wants to life differently. Well, not only do they live in the past but their views on parenting are also ancient
Well the Amish community is low-hey kind of like a cult, you aren’t allowed to talk to anyone outside of the community until 18 where you get to go “wild” and then see if you want to return to the Amish or leave and if you leave, you have to be shunned by your entire family and the rest of the community.
Live and let live. Respect every family culture. I’m not sure if you are aware but the average American family doesn’t seem to be doing so hot either. Most Amish kids are happy. The ones that aren’t... leave. Obviously, they found a couple of girls to show the negative for our viewing pleasure.
@@margiegandy9189 you can't be truly "happy" when you are cut off the rest of the world and you have no idea whats happening around the world. These kids are forced in this lifestyle from the moment they are born and are only happy or think they are happy because they have never experienced anything outside of their community and the things they allow. And it is mostly the factor that they know they will be disowned by their community and their parents if they try something new which would be normal for other people meaning they don't really have much of a choice.
@@crqsh6470 actually you can be very happy when you are isolated from the rest of the world. The kids weren’t forced into it, they were born into it, and they are indeed happy, just as people in other isolated parts of the world are happy. Mainstream is where the clinically depressed, suicidal, and miserable people are. Every family culture must be respected and nurtured. The fact that some want to leave what they were born into doesn’t make the lifestyle wrong or bad, it simply doesn’t fit them. It happens in every culture. Thank God we live in a time where we have the liberty to choose.
There are several factions of Amish. these girls are old order. they're quite strict with their boundaries i think. Maybe that's why. New order people use electricity and stuff like that.
When is it difficult to find a twig in the city wtf? Why would you even need a twig. Consuming things you dont produce is ignorant. You act like its just a fact that youre a city person forever. No youre just like the amish, but they take responsibility for themselves, and you make excuses and turn a blind eye to the harm you do to the thirld world in order to maintain your unproductive lifestyle. 1. In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. 2. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. 2. God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 3. He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, confirming what came before it; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel. 4. Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected God’s signs will have a severe punishment. God is Mighty, Able to take revenge. 5. Nothing is hidden from God, on earth or in the heaven. 6. It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no god except He, the Almighty, the Wise. 16. And mention in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew from her people to an eastern location. 17. She screened herself away from them, and We sent to her Our spirit, and He appeared to her as an immaculate human. 18. She said, “I take refuge from you in the Most Merciful, should you be righteous.” 19. He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord, to give you the gift of a pure son.” 20. She said, “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I was never unchaste?” 21. He said, “Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign for humanity, and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided.'“ 22. So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place. 23. The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.” 24. Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you. 25. And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.” 26. “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“ 27. Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible. 28. O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore.” 29. So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to an infant in the crib?” 30. He said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet. 31. And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live. 32. And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel. 33. So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive.” 34. That is Jesus son of Mary-the Word of truth about which they doubt. 35. It is not for God to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes. 36. “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.” 37. But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day. 38. Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost. 39. And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe. 40. It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned. 41. And mention in the Scripture Abraham. He was a man of truth, a prophet. 42. He said to his father, “O my father, why do you worship what can neither hear, nor see, nor benefit you in any way? 43. O my father, there has come to me knowledge that never came to you. So follow me, and I will guide you along a straight way. 44. O my father, do not worship the devil. The devil is disobedient to the Most Gracious. 45. O my father, I fear that a punishment from the Most Gracious will afflict you, and you become an ally of the devil.” 46. He said, “Are you renouncing my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will stone you. So leave me alone for a while.” 47. He said, “Peace be upon you. I will ask my Lord to forgive you; He has been Kind to me. 48. And I will withdraw from you, and from what you pray to instead of God. And I will pray to my Lord, and I hope I will not be disappointed in my prayer to my Lord.” 49. When he withdrew from them, and from what they worship besides God, We granted him Isaac and Jacob. And each We made a prophet. 50. And We gave them freely of Our mercy, and gave them a noble reputation of truth. 51. And mention in the Scripture Moses. He was dedicated. He was a messenger and a prophet. 52. And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and brought him near in communion. 53. And We granted him, out of Our mercy, his brother Aaron, a prophet. 54. And mention in the Scripture Ishmael. He was true to his promise, and was a messenger, a prophet. 55. And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and charity, and he was pleasing to his Lord. 56. And mention in the Scripture Enoch. He was a man of truth, a prophet. 57. And We raised him to a high position. 58. These are some of the prophets God has blessed, from the descendants of Adam, and from those We carried with Noah, and from the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from those We guided and selected. Whenever the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they would fall down, prostrating and weeping. 59. But they were succeeded by generations who lost the prayers and followed their appetites. They will meet perdition. 60. Except for those who repent, and believe, and act righteously. These will enter Paradise, and will not be wronged in the least. 61. The Gardens of Eden, promised by the Most Merciful to His servants in the Unseen. His promise will certainly come true. 62. They will hear no nonsense therein, but only peace. And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening. 63. Such is Paradise which We will give as inheritance to those of Our servants who are devout. 64. “We do not descend except by the command of your Lord. His is what is before us, and what is behind us, and what is between them. Your Lord is never forgetful.” 65. Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. So worship Him, and persevere in His service. Do you know of anyone equal to Him? 66. And the human being says, “When I am dead, will I be brought back alive?” 67. Does the human being not remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 68. By your Lord, We will round them up, and the devils, then We will bring them around Hell, on their knees. 69. Then, out of every sect, We will snatch those most defiant to the Most Merciful. 70. We are fully aware of those most deserving to scorch in it. 71. There is not one of you but will go down to it. This has been an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 72. Then We will rescue those who were devout, and leave the wrongdoers in it, on their knees. 73. When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Which of the two parties is better in position, and superior in influence?” 74. How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor? 75. Say, “Whoever is in error, the Most Merciful will lead him on.” Until, when they see what they were promised-either the punishment, or the Hour. Then they will know who was in worse position and weaker in forces. 76. God increases in guidance those who accept guidance. And the things that endure-the righteous deeds-have the best reward with your Lord, and the best outcome. Read The Quran

"Holy crap" also gives away how fake this is. And any "real" amish family would shun their offspring if they left which includes a burial of their items left behind.

You aren't very familiar with this kind of thing. Here is Lancaster Pennsylvania area Amish are everywhere. Anyone who's not Amish is considered English. If you learned alittle bit about their history and culture it would help you to understand more.
They should have a show called English to Aumish, where they have a bunch of English teens, live and work with Aumish familys and at the end can decide if they want to stay in the Aumish community or return to the outside world. This would be a really interesting show.

I know in another episode Maureen said she is leaving the Amish community for Danny and I think this episode shows the difference between Maureen and Rosanna, I feel as thought Maureen still has a traditional mindset and is only doing it for Daniel and to please him considering he has left the community whilst Rosanna i feel is doing it for herself and to become more open and learn more about the world and different ways of life and where people come from and how different their lives are, another episode Maureen was speaking about how the english were making fun of them when I believe they were just curious about the different lifestyle, kind of as if Maureen feels like she has to for the sake of love but Rosanna genuinely wants to by her own choice and to see what’s out there in the world and experience new possibilities and opportunities she ma not have had before
It's how they identify everybody who isn't Amish - the language the Amish use is called "Pennsylvania Dutch", and it is a form of German. Here's the Wikipedia page about it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Dutch_language
the poor girl wanna leave the amish for good with no return for love, little does she know the city boy is a player =/ I feel bad for her, there is no love in cities.
Well girls you can't just bring a cow or chicken home. It doesn't work like that. Yep I agree about the sticks but it's about saving time. Many work, have kids, a relationship etc. English can be very stretched for time.
I just went to Pennsylvania in August 2021 and i seen the amish community. But it wasnt like what they are saying now. Literally they went shopping at walmart and drank sodas and eat junk foods. But their housing situation was like the old days no electricity no plumbing no ac no heaters it was a sight to see.
There are different communities. Most of them I don't really understand where the line is. They can have cell phones because otherwise they wouldn't be competitive in the job market but they have to put it in a different building so that they still have to walk to it or something like that. They get sodas and convenience items. They even have Rumschpringe which is a window of time between 17 and 19 or something like that where they can leave and do "normal" things - usually they throw the craziest parties since they have a lot of catching up to do - and then they can choose to come back or excommunicate. There are more devout sects though that are very strict about how much contact they can have with the outside world. I assume this is one of the more strict ones.
But, that’s the thing with the Amish, for them it’s a way of life and, they have very little knowledge of how the world actually operates. They live a life conformed to there religion.
One thing they're lucky to be without is addicting social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc. Some days "when I'm wishing I'd gotten more sleep before work) I wish I'd never started with that mess.
Their life is idyllic. Why would they want to join our warped, imbalanced way of living? I would love to live the way they do and working toward it now.

Well, the thing is this looks like they never step into any type of stores but a Amish one! I mean TLC makes it look that way. Mostly they would get shunned for being on film but, not going into a Walmart or Target and, not eating fast food. They do some of the things as the English. I mean if you ever live in small towns and you have Amish living near by out on county roads, what we refer to as out in the country. Out on county roads they do have country stores and gas station convenient stores and, they can’t always get a ton of supplies they always need in those stores.
