My mother is one of the strongest people I have ever known. This song was written over the course of a bad diagnosis she received, and in my trying to deal with it. She is somehow the most tender and the most iron willed person all at once. And I know this is true not just of my mother, but so many incredible mothers. This song is a message of love to Amma, mine and all of yours. Amma is the third of a 5-track album, Songs From the Blue Room.
Songs from the Blue Room is an independent album, comprising five songs written for and expressed through the voice of the violin, with various Indian and world influences.
