Ammo Inc is made in Wisconsin. I'm not saying it's good, but they're pretty proud of that fact. In fact, I can't find anywhere that says any of their ammo is made in Turkey

The Winchester Forged is so unbelievably bad, I had a friend who bought a few boxes just because it was in stock. Both of us had ran steel of a number of brands through a number of platforms, but my god, that trash did not run through anything well. A fifty round box of bitchchester 9mm gave me more problems than surplus ammo, tula, and wolf in any caliber combined. As far as ammo inc, I wish I had recorded this but, I had 4 of the 200rnd 9mm cases- two factory new and two reprocessed same lot numbers, all 115gr. Each was at least 9 oz different in weight than their respective counterparts (I used a separate container to be sure that the deviation had nothing to do with the case).

Ammo is one of those subjects where I have encountered very mixed results. A brand I would normally trust like Winchester or Remington has proved a downfall time and time again for my rifles and pistols alike. I have had Remington CoreLokt fail in my 7MM Mauser because it was so underpressure. Winchester ammo that would fail to extract every other round in a bolt action because the brass swelled too much in the chamber. At the same time, brands I wouldn't trust normally turned out fairly decent. Armscor ammo and Wolf Brand Match 22 are extremely accurate planting rounds into one jagged hole. Ammo Inc is very hit or miss, but if I am out of 44 ammo for my Redhawk, I will shoot it because if Elmer Keith couldn't destroy a Red or Blackhawk, Ammo Inc sure won't. Of course, I won't expect decent results, but at least I'd have brass for reloading. Ammo is just such a game of craps, it is a wonder I didn't start handloading much sooner

I had a CZ 85(an update of the CZ75) that would eat and fire all brass, steel casings except 1 or 2 duds of UMC, but that was about 30 years ago. The one it did not like was what i think or wanted to say or suspect casings that seemed made of aluminum or very cheap, thin, or weak metal which was a "chrome" or "silver" look to it but was crunched and never fired, issue clearing the chamber. I don't recall who made it, but will never try anything similar again. I've bought reloaded .308, 7.62 NATO, .30-06 from gun shows, shops, local individuals and usually seems that the best is closer to you and few troubles, but there are more shooters and reloaders around here.

John.. When you mentioned Aguila 22 super extra , well let me add... I bought a dozen boxes of Aguila about a year ago. I thought the name was corny, but I bought it because it was the last day of a local gun show, and the guy wanted it gone. It was a deal. I ran it in my Ruger 10-22 and was totally surprised how close the groups were! Also ,it always cycled the bolt. So when I researched it , I discovered it was a very high quality ammo. I just picked up another 1000 rounds. The name is silly; super extra; but it really runs great and cycles every time! Nice to see that you agree.

I bought some ZSR 12 gauge and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of variety (single/double round ball slug, forester slugs, buckshot, etc.). I wouldn't touch their rifle rounds, though! With factory reloads I definitely inspect them and sometimes batch weigh to make sure everything looks normal. Seconds are nice since they're usually in-spec, with maybe some brass dents or bullet seating varying a few thou. The only companies that stand out are SDI (stupidly dirty 5.56, will gum up the works quickly), Winchester and Remington (declining QC), and fly by night reloaders.

Nowadays it’s mainly ultra premium stuff that few can afford . .223 is $1 per round and much upward , .308 is $1.50 and much upward $ 2.30 is very common…9 mm is $32/50 just for fmj….for some reason since 2021 of the scamdemic everything has gone up 60/120% and increasing … Alliant powder is $820/5LB rifle powder . Primers are 18/20 cents each…It’s seems our sport is heavily under attack from all angles and our country is a very peaceful country with low crime despite the rumours… One state has banned all bolt action rifles 284 Nosler and above ( just in case 😉🤝😉) and they are going for a 5 gun limit with a mountain of paperwork requirements to deter from the sport. 20 years ago we would have scoffed at these proposals but the noose is tightening…Just a little insight to what’s going on down here . I have one of the CETME Ls as well. It is picky in that it needs high pressure ammo to operate. The roller delay system doesn't play well with lighter loads. Mine runs like a sewing machine on most any ammo specifically labeled as 5.56. Commercial spec 223 is iffy. I can run 5.56 AAC, PMC, Lake City, MEN German surplus, etc... and it runs 100% If I try 223 Marked PMC, Remington, Federal, Wolf, Tula, etc... it will have a failure to eject about one out of every four. I have a CETME C in 7.62x51 and a PTR. Both of them are also a bit picky. Preferring higher pressure rounds. The one I use the most out of the CETME L is the 5.56 marked PMC X-TAC. I see RU-vidrs being sponsored by them but I’ve had horrible experiences with Calloway Ammunition. Their subsonic .300blk & 7.62x39 won’t cycle in any semiauto I tried them in. And several of the x39 rounds came with the bullet pushed into the case & all the powder spilled into the box. Also they didn’t ship my order for over a week with no explanation, then the day it shipped I got a text saying they were waiting on bullets to fill my order. Winchester is made by olin and I have never had issues but haven't had the need to buy any in some years other than 22 lr,federal is good and pmc is pretty much all I buy. Did pickup some Indian made ammo manufactured on Spanish machines and Belgian powder I have not tested, but will only buy pmc in the future. Accuracy of 55 gran Winchester I've tried is not good and will not purchase in the future, and probably will not do the same with 9mil.

Sterling has a bad rep with some 9mm shooters.. Just sayin... I wonder how or IF this might be a reflection on the Turkish pistols!??!🤨

Sterling 762x39 is very dirty to the point that the range is foggy and can't see shit I stop buying Sterling cause of that.

Stopped watching after you said "ammos" twice. What the heck is an ammos?
@8mmmauserman
@8mmmauserman Месяц назад
Shorthand for "ammo brands." Similar to how someone might say "waters" instead of "bottles of water"

@@8mmmauserman Just sounds weird like it's supposed to be the plural of ammo, which would just be ammo.
