Hello, a great review. I bought the full range few days ago and, once i managed to remix the paint and the pigment (even most of the steel balls were stuck) it works fine. The paints needed to be shaken for hours to avoid obstructions in the airbrush. Once i managed to homogenize the paints they work fine with a little shake before use them, maybe they were stored too long. It's a common issue with the metalic paints.
+Mikel Jokin Echeveste It did not take me to long to shake the bottles to mix them thoroughly but then they was on a long trip from spain where they would have been shaken about in transit lol
+OrcPainterNerd Thanks for the reply. With my complaints I forgot to say how much I like your reviews and unboxings, they are very thorough and useful. Was your review about the Infinity airbrush that convinced me to buy one and I am very satisfied with the purchase.
after watching the video I picked these paints up. Amazing paints and I used the Blueish Titanium to paint a games day model from GW. came out so good. Great recommendation OPN
That paint is amazing, i will definitely be looking to use some of that. You should definitely do a video where you paint an ultramarine model with that paint to see what it looks like when its complete, would be very interesting to see.
Hey. used Warhead blue today and didnt like it. Some parts end up very very sandy but some are ok. Will try it on glossy black primer next time because accidentally Ive sprayed over black plastic and looks good. I always have problems with Migs paints. separate way to fast.
Could use that blue metallic over a Game Color Stormy Blue for the Bandai R2D2 blue dome and body parts. Wish I knew about these paints when I was painting up My R2 droid.
great vid Stuart looks like I have an excuse to buy more paint have to say though the blues and brass and copper look awesome and mig ammo do a great range of products thanks for the share ☺
Greatings O.P.N, this was a great review, I will have to try and get some. look forward to your next review. Have you review any of their standard paints? Les
+Les Thiele I have not done a review on there standard paints but I have used them to do a tutorial on this model ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--OXVP0EkP7s.html Hope this helps
How well does the pigment remain in suspension with these paints? Reason I ask is that I have been using the Vallejo metallics, and have been having a real problem with the pigments "falling out" of the rest of the solution and clogging up my airbrush, sometimes in just a matter of seconds. Hopefully these are holding up well for you?
thanks for this video , im thinking to buy some of these to add them to my game air collection! I have another question though, wich airbrush do you prefere most? i had an agora tec as my first and they where well...crappy i now got the Harder & Steenbeck Infinity CR plus and i absolutely love it!
+Ssj2Bardock my two favourites are Iwata and Harder & steenbeck. You get what you pay for with airbrushes there is some terrible misinformation out on the net about how cheap airbrushes are just as good when they are nowhere near as good as a top brand airbrush like H&S and Iwata. Happy airbrushing mate :)
lol, im only a minute in and not even seen you use them yet, but a ball bearing in a dropper bottle is not a good idea, but il watch the rest of the vid and see if what i think will happen, happens.
+RobinHoodUKIP ok so im wrong the bearing didnt block the top then. ;D i like the blue, but im all about the starbright gaia lacquer paints for metal these days. but the blue would be useful especially if you wanted a metalic paint that you can also weather .
+RobinHoodUKIP Ammo have put bearings in all their paints for months. Never had a problem with them yet... Will be interesting to see how it goes in the metallics though.
+Mark Ellerby abut 10-15 minutes dry to the touch but Mig recommends 24 hours to fully cure that would be for masing purposes I would imagine. I had no problem painting subsequent layers of paint with my airbrush after the 10-15 minute drying time.
+Rid Cully I did not have to thin them in my Iwata cs eclipse 0.35 airbrush but it may very with a different brand and needle nozzle size airbrush. Ammo of Mig sell airbrush thinner so it would always be advisable to buy some with the paints just in case you need to thin them :)
