Our local Walmart has the same thing with the super X. 222 count box is $19, a 333 count box is $39. Makes total sense, right? Luckily they have Federal Automatch 325 count boxes for $20, so I just buy that. Runs good through all my .22's.
I've been buying .22 at Walmart (3 box limit per day) and using it for training along with my other calibers... we don't have Academy, Bass Pro, or Cabela's here.

My Cabela's I would go in every day and take pictures of the ammo and upload to RU-vid to show prices. I asked everyone down to the greater girl there if it was OK to take pictures with my phone as long as I kept your customers out of the picture? All said yes. I bumped into an older, 50 year old new salesman at the gun counter who yelled over at me "are you taking pictures of my ammo?" Me,, "yes." Him,, "WHY?" " Are you a competitor?" Me, "no." Him, "are you taking pictures of my customers?" Me, "no, but I'll put it away if you want." Him,, with a pissed off look on face, "no... go ahead." I could tell he was not happy though. I tried to approach him again later on to explain how I'm only doing this to show people whats out there,, but he would'nt even look at me, or answer,, with a pissed off look on his face. I only do it now if my friends who are salesmen there are around in case he decides to tell management I'm bugging customers.
Bought some 30-06 at my local Walmart today. It was Winchester copper extreme point. I also heard from a friend that yesterday they had federal 30-06. I spent 33 bucks on the Winchester and my friend spent somewhere around the 20 dollar range for the federal also 32 bucks for 500 rounds is a pretty good deal. I have spent more on 500 rounds in the past
So, I guess I will be stopping in your store on way through this Summer. The Cabelas and Bass Pros I visited on vacation had no where near that much ammo. Wish I had a Cabelas as close to me as you have. Mainly just Academy and Walmart for me here and the prices at Academy are awful. I did pick up some of those SuperX 222 at Walmart after I saw your previous video.
I really wish people would just take a break and stop buying up all the ammo so the price can drop. For fuck sack 9mm in 2019 was 8.99 and now the lowest you can find it is 18.99 STOP BUYING AMMO. Jk we all need it but something really needs to change.
I haven’t bought a single round since this nonsense started. To be honest I am surprised you are buying at these price points but hey we all have our reasons.
