Come with me on my Kyrgyzstan journey and experience the nomad culture through my eyes. Get to know the people, their daily lifestyle and their culture.
I am a Kazakh man. Kyrgyz people and Kazakh people are like siblings. Our languages and traditions are almost the same. My Kyrgyz brothers are brave and hardworking ! I wish you all the best my brothers!
I am from Turkey. My family lives near the coast of Mediterrenean. My father and mother grew up as nomad herders. I didn't live that way of life. But there are our neighbors lve just like the family in the video. The historic story of our people is very impressive. Despite thousands of years and thousands of kilometers, Turkic people are very similar. Turkic peoples stil live like their common ancestors , from the warm coasts of Mediterrenean to the cold costs of Siberian North Sea...
I am Kyrgyz , but I live in Europe . sometimes you just want to feel , plunge into your culture . and I was in Kyrgyzstan for almost 40 minutes , for which I thank you very much , incredible work👍👍👍
I am a Crimean Tatar which had nomadic grand-grandparents. I didn't see that lifestyle myself but I wager it was probably a similar experience to this family you showed us here (though we lived in Northern Black sea at the time and instead of mountains we had an almost endless steppe as far as the eye can see from what I hear). We too have a long history of searching pasture lands in different seasons for flocks of sheep and horses. I respect this family and any who live a similar lifestyle just like our ancestors did. Greetings to Kyrgyz people from Turkey and thank you for showing us this beautiful documentary.
@@thefenerbahcesk4156 Selam my friend! I Love Turkmens here, in Turkiye majority people are of Oghuz (Turkmen) ancestry even I have some Oghuz family members and we are all Turkic peoples so it's all good :)
Kyrgyzstan is an amazing country, the people are so hardworking and the cuisine is awesome,I'm here as a medical student from Pakistan I am enjoying my stay here in the capital Bishkek!❤️
@@globestories. Brilliant work. I'm writing a fantasy story which involves semi-nomadic peoples. This is very helpful, I will try to credit your documentary in my work.
As a Kyrgyz person living in the capital all my life, this documentary was full of unknown and amazing information about our traditional way of life. Thank you so much for creating such a masterpiece. Really looking forward for part 2!
For some reason the video brings tears to my eyes. We have lost something as a civilization that these people have. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to live the nomadic live, it is a harsh life, but there is something special to it.
I am from Mongolia and their lifestyle looks almost same as Mongolian nomadic lifestyle and even tho their language is different I still manage to understand some of their words. Great content and if it is possible visit to our country
I don’t have any but maybe you can ask from travel agencies. If you are interested check “Mongolian nomad’s ultimate dilemma” is video about Mongolian nomads and it was only published about a month ago.
@jojores180 Mongolian's genes are not similar to Kyrgyz, they are more close to Chinese. Kyrgyz main genes are R1a1, mongol's genes are C. Mongols inherited nomsdic lifestyle from turkic nations.
This was such a great documentary. It was very straightforward and plain but so fascinating , beautiful cinematography and I found the family to be extremely interesting. Great job
Answer me a question, please! do you was born and grow up as a nomad childhood and have already migrated to UK right or not? Via video seem I think so but not sure
@@dinhdinh4383 I’m a Belgian journalist, I still live in Belgium and work in Germany. So nope, I was not a nomad child (sadly) and I’m also not in the UK 😊
You gotta be kidding me, just 4k views??!!! this is pure quality, I can compare it to the biggest documentary companies out there, what an underrated video. Can't believe this has been in my "Watch Later" playlist all this time. Keep it upppp, waiting for the next parttt.
as an indian currently working in kyrgystan i want to experience this nomadic culture and thank you a lot for showing such a beautiful illustration of these peoples
What I've appreciated the most about your documentary is that you focused it completely on the host family. Adding nothing but a well made narration that helps us understand more about their way of life, without feeling the narcissistic urge of putting yourself in front of the camera. Looking forward for your upcoming videos ❤
I'm glad I found this great documentary, these people live simple and very happy, they put family over anything else. Thank you, great work, greetings from Chile
I am a Kyrgyz living in Europe, I understand how ill-informed I am about my culture and history. Thank you for such a wonderful video, good luck and success in a happy life!
What an amazing documentary. I spent 2 months in a small city in Kyrgyzstan when I was 18. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The country, the people and their culture was amazing and beautiful to me. I have always wanted to go back there since. I hope I get an opportunity some day. Thank you for making this!
May Allah bless this family.. You can see thankfulness in their eyes. And the little Rosa.. My god she is so sweet. I have some friends from Kyrgyzstan here in Jordan where I live, they are very polite and generous people. Thank you again for sharing this experience with us.
As an Azerbaijani Turk, I take immense pride in our rich heritage and vibrant culture. Regardless of geographical boundaries, our shared blood ties bind us together, fostering a deep sense of unity and solidarity. With unwavering love for my nation, I extend heartfelt greetings of 'Əsənliklər' to all my esteemed compatriots scattered across the globe!
This is an outstanding, informative video. Cowboying is cowboying. Ranching is ranching. No matter what part of the world you are at. Stewards of Gods gifts; family, land and livestock.
@@globestories. One small suggestion, I think you could try to minimize your dialog, let the scene carry itself with a bit of music. I think many people are not here for an overload of information, they just want to see the beautiful scenery and cinematography. Try to bring out what you say through the video itself. You could even just add small subtitles "Week 2" etc instead of actually voicing it.
@@lokeshn8850 actually that was on purpose ☺️ I have watched many other nomad documentaries where they left me wondering what exactly the nomads are doing… so I wanted to make it different. Now actually many people thank me for that. Actually I remember after the premiere (only with friends and families) there even came the feedback that at some point they wanted more voice over to explain something even deeper 😅 so I guess that’s simply a complete matter of taste ☺️
This is a masterpiece, I think even better than National Geographic. Thank you so much for this film. Kyrgyzstan is really beautiful and wonderful place. Looking forward for the part 2❤️😍
Thank-you for this. I truly enjoyed watching this beautiful family go about their lives. It always makes me realize how different my life is compared to other's around the globe. I loved Rosa and her eagerness to help and participate. The whole family is wonderful
I had similar thoughts as I watch this from my warm bedroom in SW Missouri 🇺🇸 A very different life indeed and whilst I am certainly not built for it I enjoy watching this little slice of it. Lovely documentary.
Greetings from the Basque country! I like that your Turkic language is unique like our own We are like two ends of a pickle FYI I have never even seen a horse, let alone road one Well I wish could say more, but I have a Pottery making class at 3 pm. They call it Fegorba. I have no idea why
These Great Nomadic People are from the "Chuckchi Tribes" the close relatives of the American Native Population, whose ancestors crossed the Bering strait to Alaska during the "Ice Age" about 20,000 years ago the same way they do today with dog sleds and the first Humans on the American continent. These people are the close relatives of all Eskimos, Inuits, American Indian Tribes, and the Mayans in the Amazon.
Thank you. It is fascinating. What a lovely country. I always watch these kinds of programmes and actually think how similar all humans really are with family at the heart of our lives etc. We are more similar to each other than different.
I'm Kyrgyz who lived in Europe(Germany) and now reside in US. This is the first video in English I was able to find, where someone from outside of post soviet countries depicted their personal experience living with Kyrgyz herders. My wife and my kids enjoyed watching this video, since they don't understand Kyrgyz or Russian. There are few flaws in this video, which I think need to be edited. I heard few times Mongolian throat songs, which have nothing to do with Kyrgyz culture. There are some other things which a native Kyrgyz viewer can notice, but in general, a very good video.
Thank you so much! And well heard with the Mongolian sounds :) though my Kyrgyz friends told me, it’s not a problem at all to use this song, since first of all it’s just the vibe which fits perfectly and because secondly the Mongolian and Kyrgyz culture have so much in common. It was really important to me that native Kyrgyz people are approving with this video so I showed it to many people in Kyrgyzstan before publishing it actually 😅 I’m glad you liked it anyway! Thanks for your feedback 🙏
Haha, not a thing and I might be being little "penible", and I'm not trying to critisize you or your Kyrgyz friends, but just for comparison, this would be like making a video about Germany and using Swiss or Austrian yodeling songs, or if you visit Mongolia in the future and use Kyrgyz Komuz or Kazach Dombra songs, I think my fellow Mongolian friends could get little offended. Sorry, even within Germany, where I lived for a long time, I offended Schwabs or Sachs(Saxons), or Franks by expressing wrong context.
Wow, cool. I also was grown in shepherd family. Untill 18 years old. After, i study and now working in capital city. You filmed it as is, thank you very much. Mountains, river, animal - what is relaxing everyone
I am Australian but absolutely am fascinated by nomad life. You video is excellently made, great cuts really top notch stuff. Can't wait for the second one!
This lifestyle maybe harsh, but this is all we need. Anything else will come with a cost. I see how many of us want to stay strong and fit, and all. However only a minority get to reach their goals, and still compromise on a lot. In this lifestyle, everyone is healthy, fit, strong, and at peace. This is how humans were born to be.
This is some of the best quality I've ever seen on RU-vid, hands down! I feel so captivated watching the lives of these Kyrgyz semi-nomads that I forget I'm sitting half a world away in semi-arid costal California. I've always wanted to see the Central Asian steppe for myself, but this is easily the next best thing (and its free!). I also really liked the soundtrack you added, the atmosphere it adds is amazing! If it isn't too much trouble, would you mind sharing the songs with us?
Thank you so much 🥰 The first song is called Halelu Hu. And the rest you will find these songs or similar music if you look for “traditional Kyrgyz music”. As soon as I start working on the project file again, I can list all the songs here in the credits. I wanted to do that anyways, but I simply forgot 🙈
I was going to say the most beautiful documentary I have ever seen but I have seen many and do not want to hurt the feelings of others. For this reason I will say one of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen. I know you will understand. Without people like you I would have no knowledge of such amazing humans, their ways of being, and their lands. Once again I am reminded no matter languages spoken or ways of living in this world, beneath it all we humans are not so different. Thank you.
I love the style of this video; it feels like reading and watching a journal entry at the same time. Amazing work; I am very much looking forward to part two :)
Really glad you guys enjoyed it, thank you! 🙏 Part 2 will come! I’m having some technical issues atm (the project is too big for my laptop) but I’ll find a solution and will then finally finish part 2. Thanks for waiting ☺️🙏
Well done. The documentary was simple and straightforward, which is what I like, personally. Interesting family and lifestyle. Looking forward to part two.
I grew up on a farm we also milked cows by hand and separated the milk. We always had fresh raw milk, butter and cheese. At these times we are in now I want to do that again, hard work, making my own food. Free lifestyle is right.
Melanie, I am so blown away by your story telling. I would need to rewatch this several times to learn about your filmmaking. Thank you so much for spending so many hours in making this film!
You deserve a million subs. Wow the effort you put into this is amazing. This is film making on another level. Your channel will blow up , no doubt. The quality is too good.
I'm waiting for the second part of the video to come out, Rosa has a carefree life 😊 . The philosophy of the nomadic lifestyle is to live in harmony with nature and oneself.
They are really working hard they are busy every second. Really appreciate your work. Compared to them we are living a very luxurious and safe life, I got the motivation in me to not be lazy anymore.
Interesting video depicting lifestyle food culture of Nomads. Live stocks are source of income. They survive lives on indigeneous commodities & milk products
Thank you for giving us this experience. I doubt I ever would’ve learned about this country if it wasn’t for RU-vid. Such great people and a beautiful place.
I love their hasteless and wise way of life and thinking. Their sincerity and the beauty of the nature of this country. My father spent his youth in Kyrgyzstan and remembered and loved it forever.
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Special thanks to the nomad guest speakers. Sharing personal information pertaining to daily activities & experiences. Making this Presentation more authentic and possible. Enjoying this presentation from my computer room. Along the " Space Coast " 🚀🚀 of Florida 🐊🐊🐊 1-26-24
A land full of mountains n endless plains !! Ever changing their camping's then n there , with their cattle n animal's !! What a lovely people with their nomadic Way's 👍👍👍
This has to be the most wonderful travel vlog I've ever seen ! Watched this one until the end and loved every second of it ! Thank you for introducing us to this family's unique culture and lifestyle !
This is remarkable documentary, because you selected not just ordinary fanily in kyrgyzstan, but family who lives in a traditional way of life. This lifestyle is uncommon at this day in kyrgyzstan. Superb job! Remarkable poeple!
