This was the first song my son ever heard. After birth, the midwife turned on the radio and this song started to play. Still gives me goosebumps.

Amorphis is a Finnish Progressive/Folk/Melodic Death/Death-Doom Heavy Metal Band ever since 1990. Amorphis was founded by Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari and Esa Holopainen. They began as a Death Metal Act but evolved into playing other genres including Heavy Metal, Progressive Metal, and Folk Metal. They frequently use the Kalevala, the Epic Poem of Finland, as a source for their lyrics. i have a history with one of their songs, when i was twelve years old i had a friend who played a song on his guitar and i asked him "whats the name of the song?" and he shrugged and said " i dont know, some band called amorphis i guess", then i found a song in youtube called "Black Winter Day" and tears scrolled down my face... that happened 4 years ago, today i´m 21.
