Dia is my favorite from the house and one of my favorite fragrances ever. Amouage does amazing masculine florals. Amouage is still my favorite house. Another fantastic review.

Amazing review! What a treat to see and learn about the flower involved. Yesterday I revisited my decant of Dia after a few years, and I simply fell in love this time. My first impression back when I bought it years ago was that it was too soft, indecipherable, too "rosey" but not quite a rose. This time around however, I experience it as a completely luxurious smell -- on another level. Soapy in an opulent, perhaps even decadent -- if the wearer wishes it -- way. Beautiful, beautiful blend. I basically can't describe it beyond such broad terms yet. I think I am going to get a full bottle :) It appeals so directly to me in a way that fragrances rarely do, I just can't resist. Today I am revisiting Silver Man, and I am enjoying it so much more than when I last smelled it years ago. Back then, it smelled like a generic, forgettable freshie. Today, I really loved it but am struggling to describe it... The dry down has been addicting though :)

amazing review. I just discover Amouage house lately and absolutely love their product. Especially Dia man and Lyric man. This Dia man is my first niche fragrance ever and it was worth every penny.
Thanks for calling this fragrance to my attention. Sure there have been other reviews of Dia Man on RU-vid but yours is the first one that truly does it justice and motivated me to obtain a sample and try it. Wow! What a stunningly beautiful fragrance! I got a sample of Dia Man and Fate Man and ordered full bottles of both. I currently own 11 Amouage fragrances and Dia Man is near the top of the list as one of my favorites. I normally don't go in for relatively quiet fragrances and prefer perfumes that create a large scent bubble. But Dia Man works well for what sort of fragrance it is. I get several hours of longevity on my skin. It will radiate about 12" for an hour or so and then gets closer to my skin. Love it. I will be pulling for it frequently. A perfect fragrance for the office. Might I suggest you give Amouage Epic Woman a try if you haven't already. That is also on my full bottle buy list.
I wanted to get my first fragrance from Amouage and went through so many reviews to have an idea which would be the most appropriate choice for me based on my taste and personality. I came across your review of Dia man. I am very glad I did! You helped me to identify things in my personality and preference that helped me to decide which Amouage would be most ideal for me. First, I love Vetter!! Second, I don't like my fragrance to scream. Thirdly, I love quality ingredients put together intelligently to create a unique and satisfying experience. Your review had me seeking this gem and I can confirm after sampling-not only is this is one of my favorites of the line, but it’s one of my favorite vetiver fragrances. That bitter orange, smooth peony, and clean vetiver is a truly stunning and unique combination. Going to be eyeing a bottle of this for the summer-truly worthy of joining Jubilation XXV and Reflection Man in my collection. Thanks again!
You're absolutely right....it's an amazing scent.I haven't bought it,just have a decant.The only reason i haven't bought it(yet),is longevity....i'm so sad,it lasts so short...extraordinary perfume!
Its a symphony it's a masterpiece and to me its a beast in terms of projection and sillage. I wear it even after a shower at home just to enjoy it. Wait 30 minutes for the dry down magic.
yes Dia and Myth are my top 2 Amouages. ive seen several fragrantica remarks saying they r just very ordinary , or even rubbish ! its surprising how some reviews by others can be so different to ours
Hi AC. Wonderful review as always. The projection of Dia pour Homme was quite strong on my skin, in the air it smells mostly dry, powdery, a bit animalic.
Great review. I have a sample on the way. I was looking for Guerlain Lupin Dany, but discontinued. Fragrantica suggested Dia Man. I thought it was discontinued, but glad it was re released.
Although not a favorite, I find it to be very, very nice and highly under-rated IMO; the same goes for Ciel Man. In fact, I'm going to wear both fragrances later this evening. Also highly rated, IMO, and my 3rd favorite from Parfums de Marly, is Darley...terrific gentleman's fragrance.
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews Some people compare it to Le Male...I don't see it, but perhaps 10%. However, Darley is smooth as silk and possesses that refined gentlemanly quality that's difficult to explain, but easy to identify. Your mileage may vary, which is why I love this hobby!

I YESTERDAY GOT ITS DECANT TO ME IT REMINDS ME OF VINTAGE OLD SPICE AFTERSHAVE.IT ALSO HAS SIMILIARITY WITH GUERLAIN SHALIMAR. A BIT FEMININE BECAUSE OF FLORAL NOTES. PROJECTION AND SILLAGE IS LOW. SO NOT FOR EVERYONE COST IS ALSO A FACTOR.

You did my most personal Amouage love justice!* 🏅 Precise deciphering the smell and performance like a swiss watch; even I as longterm user could learn more about the notes interplay from this. Sidenote: Will never forget 4 years before my unpackaging and 1st apply at work. Sprayed & immediately you could hear jawdrops from my (most female) workmates, who could smell the magic from opening on unfold! Hunted it 3 years, got it with 50% discount from list price, rewarded finally with most luxury refind understatement smell. _Travel atomizer for re-sprays after 4 hrs. advised, but it delivers always on every occassion (prefered to meetings, dates, dinners, public celebration)._ *Stay well in the UK, fella!* 🤗☕

Hello AC. I just got this and your description is so bang on. I think it's the most beautiful fragrance I've smelt so far. It really is stunning. Makes me feel calm and uplifted and I like fragrances that just gently waft around me. Heavenly.

Nailed it AC. Peony has been my favourite flower for over a decade! Completely agree with the subtleness of the scent - almost rose like and to me, has a similar rich earthiness to a blooming iris, but with far less of a tuberose vibe. Of course, I'm describing the Cardinal Vaughan and it looks like you have a Sarah Bernhardt there, so maybe there's a difference! lol Such a great description of Dia Man. Haven't smelled it myself, but looking forward to trying more Amouage this year. Btw, I just picked up a bottle of Terrarossa from Profumo di Firenze (thanks to the heads up from Nigel - 2 Scents Worth) and would love to get your take. £30 on ebay in the UK for one of the best vetivers out there by Enzo Galardi from Bois 1920.
Doni, you nailed the smell of Peony mate, it smells exactly as you described it. I am going to stress you should sample Dia mate, its just a phenomenal scent. I am going to have to try Terrarossa now dont I?
Greetings, you have not had problems with your Amouage Day fragrance because in mine when I remove the magnetic lid you bring the cover that sticks with the lid and in the liquid you can notice rare particles.
Awesome that is very nice bro. It's very unique scent. Composition of the notes are very exquisitely blended. Peony and Iris brings simplicity and warmth to this scent.

Yeah I'll be sampling this one asap. Great review. Had on radar while ago b4 discovering I like plum; admit peony scared me off. Before I smelled Jubilation, Interlude, Bracken, Sunshine, and now Memoir. I've much more to smell, but my goodness Amouage fits my nose. Even Journey is great though I don't get best performance. Excited to try Dia, be purchasing Memoir shortly. Thanks for the excellent review.

I Agree hole heartedly, I own the original formulation, the none magnetic cap version, The performance is slightly better, longevity, About 6 To 7 hours, Average sillage, about 1 To 2 hours, In my view, I would say it has a slightly more denser and richer smell, With you loving the fragrance as much as you do, maybe I would recommend you try and get a original formulation, I think it's worth it!! Athough my brother and mother told me that it smells like some old gentleman scent,I personally don’t get it,but I got a compliment from a lady in her 40’s,and she told me that Dia smells great:)...enough for me:)

Right, I'd held off buying this, I've actually bought it as my 26th Amouage and so I've a pretty good idea about the House and their diversity. . I think I thought it might have been a bit outdated which is why I'd held back I think. Your review is really on the money. I've really nothing to add. For a first date, this is the one I'd go for. It's just intimate and understated. I really, really like it. It really is very good. Just lovely all round. I really love it for what it is and how unique it is. It's an easy recommendation, but as per the video content, don't expect a large hailing of your presence. A scent that's everything the video says. Massively impressed, it's exceeded my expectations in every way.
