Amouage Fate Man Review! Another Weird One 

I smelled about 10 of the common Amouages today in a row, the last of which was Fate. Too me it was completely unique and set apart from the rest. It almost startled me when I smelled it. I found it uniquely refreshing. Sort of like a playful +sweet version of the campfire smell that gets left on your clothes

i blind bought this. i love every single thing you guys dislike about this fragrance hahaha i love fate man. worth every cent i paid.

hello and thanks for review! i have the amouage fate and really agree that it is an uncommon and rare smell. the first i thought after smelling this was the top note absinth and cumin.the heart noter are far better with citrus, rose and salvie.

Hey Fragrance Bros. I was testing my Kilian frags to choose what to wear for church mass later. Then I remember you guys did review some Kilian frags a long time ago. Watching that old vid I saw Jer not liking rose notes. Is that still true? Maybe it's time to review current rose frags like: Montale's Intense Cafe, Tom Ford's Noir de Noir or Cafe Rose or Mancera's Roses Vanille or Frederic Malle's Portrait of A Lady. Give it some thought.

Im on the fence with this one...I did a side by side with the femme version and I will say I do like the homme version MUCH better. Im feelin what you guys are saying...I can relate to everything you said with the exception of the formal usage...for me smell is smell and I where anything anytime Im in the mood. Im one to like off the wall stuff as well and this did fit that mold..whether its something that Im going to wear?? I need to give ole girl another ride I think.

Fate man is one of my Amouage favourites. Totaly unique and original. You have to accept cumin and "indian spices" to like it. I love spicy fragrances, so for me this is just a heavenly fragrance.

Just love watching you guys...very fun, lol. I got a kick of Jer giving you a compliment, haha....funny how things like that happen. Fragrance is a tricky game ;-)

I did sample Fait woman as well and it actually was more wearable. Little femme but smells good. Just thought if throw that in there.

There's a fine line between being strange and being unusual. The latter I appreciate a lot. This one, however, strays too much into the strange territory for my liking. Anyhoo, my two hryvnias

Unfortunately I get a 'wtf' vibe from most Amouages other than Jubilation XXV. I agree with Jer, far too many of them smell the same to my nose as well. As Jer would put it, "the FUH??"

OK, so here's where it gets weird. I just bought 100ml. The reason: the Fate Man that I tested and bought, out 'tobacco-ed' even any Tom Ford tobacco fragrance. From go to whoa, nothing but massive tobacco scent. And I'm not the only one who thought so. Am I crazy here?

Their recent releases have been let downs. I guess it is hard to follow up jub xxv with something equally good

Interesting. I can't say I was big on getting this or trying it, but meh, I'll probably just pass. Seems like Amouage has been off their mark lately.

Great review bros! I like it but it's not like I have to grab a bottle right away. I wore it a full day and performance is great but it doesn't wow me. You totally hit it on the head talking about the notes. Great description.

It is really weird in deed. I quit like the weird perfumes. I appreciate that Amouage blended immortelle & cumin in this perfume. I do love immortelle, but I louche the BO smell of Cumin. This blend somehow does magic trick on me, I made me able to tolerate the cumin in this fragrance. It lasts on me for eternity, at least 20 hours, but it's lack the 'Wow Factor'. The Amouage I have with the most WOW factor is Memoir Man, love that opening. By the way, Amouage's Pop up store is just open here in Bangkok until February, no Fate Man and JubXXV here yet. Some testers still on the way to the counter. Ps. I am still waiting for what Amouage going to release in 2014. there recent releases did not impress me much.

I'm with Jer, cumin, star anise and immortelle. Unwearable! After a shower, the trace incense and frankincense are pleasant.

Jer's attempt to explain away his compliment seems disingenuous. You only make a compliment when the nose registers something as "pleasant." Not otherwise. What this indicates is that the sillage of Fate is a lot more pleasant than even the wearer realises.

Bro's... my lady LOVES this scent. Lol, seriously. Only frag that I have that she grabs the bottle and sprays me. Sprays on herself too! She has a hippy spirit so maybe that's why.
