Honour Man's minimalism sounds hyper sophisticated and elegant. I'm not a loud person, so a must-try for a signature scent. I wouldn't pay this price to only get occasional wear.
Great dissection as always. Can't say im overly excited to try this one.. but I enjoyed your review on it. I tried sunshine man and didn't like it much lol.
I think this is a fair review. I also liked this but didn't love it and given the price I think 8/10 is a generous score but yes if it you like peppery scents I can't think of any that is as good and long lasting as this. L'Occitan by L'Occitane is a nice peppery one that might be a decent alternative for people who don't want to put down Amouage cash for that type of scent.
I really like the advertising how they link it to madam butterfly and say it’s inspired by a funeral song and I can see it it’s is something I would wear to a funeral or an akin type event or similar mood I find it an really artistic concept or just good advertising because it captured me for some reason
Excellent review!!! It was so good that I subscribed!!! I really love this fragrance!!! I have it in my top 3 fragrances from Amouage after Reflection and Beloved!!! I will definitely get a bottle!!! Thanks for the review!!! ☮️🖖🏽
I’m surprised no mention of Bvlgari Man (original). It’s an Upscale version of the Bvlgari Man (classic). It’s a masculine scent that isn’t for everyone. But I think it’s a very unique smell that for certain people can be a signature piece. I’m on the fence with it as I do enjoy it, but I think Bvlgari Man does this scent more justice by softening it up with the tea note.
Good fragrance for corporate/professional setting. Gets compliments from people who have good taste. It's classy, a bit understated. Funny how the first time I tried it, I didn't even notice the pepper! But yes, the pepper is definitely there, and strong. Scent starts off fresh and turns woodier and drier as it develops.
The first scent I sampled from this house, almost turned me off from the brand completely(till I sampled journey man). Could not get over that incense oily opening.
My least favotite Amouage for sure...Super spicy , dry...i don't like most black peper fragrances and this one is a peper bomb...Not my thing for sure.SOTD Wild Fruits by Mancera
I just sampled this one recently and I just loved it. the vetiver is very obvious here and it actually reminded of Sultan vetiver from Nishane. However, sultan vetiver is way way too heavy on vetiver, overly green & damp smelling. A bit intriguing but not wearable in my opinion. On the other hand, Honour is a spicy citrusy peppery vetiver which makes it one of my favorite perfumes from Amouage along with Interlude black iris & Reflection man.
Sorry to say, this is the most boring perfume of this house. Along with beach hut man, portrayal man (and a few others from the house), honor has no magic. For these prices, the magic factor is a must (interlude, bracken and many more).
@@robes08 Agree. So I'm not sorry :) Though I do have a somewhat peculiar taste : 1. Unlike you guys - the experts - I don't like to notice/smell any one distinct note. I like the sum to be MUCH bigger than its parts, meaning, I want the BLEND to be perfect, something new and UNRECOGNIZABLE. If I smell a distinct note, the blend is imperfect imho (I disregard the opening. I judge by the drydown). That's part of what I call "the magic/wow factor". 2. I don't buy perfumes that are "alike" (with one exception) because one would be better, and thus I'll never reach for the other. So I pretty much have unique scents (btw, for me 99% of the perfume out there quality as "alike" of something, and that's one of the reasons why I have a 'tiny' 2 digit collection). 3. I'm one of the few fragheads who doesn't like vintage/retro. I don't like vintage in anything (watches, cars etc.). If any, I'm a man of the future :). So, I wouldn't go searching for vintage Kouros or Anteus for example, because it smells out dated to me (though I've used PRPH in the 70s and Kouros in the 80s... when they were new). Give me something new and exciting... :) If you get requests, would you consider reviewing a discovery set of Lorenzo Villoresi ? Have a great day.
