This is such a classy scent imo, the opening felt herbal to me, bitter, and spicy. After that, I get that slightly sharp lavender that mellows as the fragrance moves forward. That absinthe, the cardamom that comes in which I love, the florals, the woody incense base with amber and patchouli. I really loved this scent. I gave this fragrance a try a couple of days ago and after smelling pretty much all the opus fragrances still available, this is in my top 3!
Love seeing you referring to your notes Ramsey. You obviously put a great deal of effort into your analogies, metaphors and imagery. Great stuff. Shout out to the man behind the shirt. The great ScHNoZ has spoken! 👃
Lovely review 🐏. One of my favourites - three backup bottles and counting lol no occasion this doesn’t fit - classic and modern all at once. Roll on opus IV
Definitely its smell like a niche perfume, elegant, distinctive, non offensive, there a hint of subtle incense which is very classy. Perfect scent at the luxurious office.
great review !! how do you compare it to purpose, another green spicy woody. i have purpose and i enjoy it a lot, and waiting for a sample of opus ii to arrive in the mail.
Ramsey, Living these late WK end frag vids my friend.👍 I have opus 4 & opus 6 in my collection. The vintage stuff is amazing! Thanks again! P. S. Planning on getting you bottles from my collection you mentioned being interested in sometime next WK end. And I may throw in another bottle, possibly that Arabian oud bottle that may be similar to the Mukhallett Diwan AlL Sharq sample you just recently gave impressions on. It may be better. I'll let you know . A2
I just want to share certain realization. This might be interesting for you, Ram. I have some old oils from Feel Oud. Example are - Jardin de Assam. It is my most despised scent, and I don't want to smell it ever anymore, so I tightly closed it and washed. It is a indian fermented crazy strong oud. And it smells exactly like the oud in Silver Oud by Cecile. And after that, I question some thoughts like, those EU perfumers are just placing indolic florals and plant oils to smell like sht to resemble oud and name a frag an oud. Another cool thing, is that I have a Feel oud oil - Santal Millenium. It is a Sandalwood Mysore. And hell, the Oud Wood from TF main accord smells exactly the way it is. I even want to call it a Tom Ford Sandalwood Oud now.
