Watching three years late. Sitting here watching perfume youtube and playing with my boxes of samples. I have at least 6 different fragrances on different parts of my arms....Overture Woman is not a love at first scent for me....however over 30 mins the most gorgeous dry down cloud is enveloping me. It's fighting against some pretty potent ones, Soir D'orient, Memo Shams Oud, Creed Queen of Silk, The Noir 29 and Baiser Vole and Overture is over powering them all. I should probably get a grip and just try one at a time but regardless, the verdict is that Overture Women is a highly addictive moreish scent with very very very good sillage. Amouage quickly becoming a favourite house in general. Love that you have a whole library of reviews to trawl through, thank you!
I absolutely love how you describe scents. No time of wait is too long for such thorough and perfect description that you give. Also I love the calmness in your voice.
What a shame that I couldn’t catch these live and didn’t see that were on . I was travelling home from a weekend away and couldn’t really do you all justice . Watching today with full time and attention. Still very exciting.
Oooh, tough one. Personally, for me to wear, probably Man. But Woman is a really strange, fascinating piece of work. An apple made by the witch from Snow White.
I need to sample this one, i hope it has a boozy feel, i see brandy in the notes. I never ever drink but i do like alcohol notes in my scents, if done properly.
Upon first reading of the notes, they sounded very unisex and perhaps masculine leaning. I was hoping to get an opinion in your first impression. I realize, particularly with the four new releases, the lines are being blurred (as is the packaging), and am wondering if these falls into that category as well?
Well, as far as I’m concerned, there shouldn’t be any gender lines in perfume anyway. I would say this would work perfectly well on a man. Thanks for watching.
