Also how can one separate the feed for the piglets (0 - 4 weeks) from the lactating mother . Do we just mix the together? Or the piglets are fed in a separate area? Please I need an answer. Feed conversion ratio is the measure of livestock production efficiency: the weight of feed intake divided by weight gained by the animal. Pigs have a higher efficiency and thus low FCR values of 2-3. Based on multiple researches, it was found that for pigs to gain a certain amount of weight, the feed they eat should be 2-3 times the amount of weight we want them to gain.
Is this feed for one pig,and if I have 25 pigs meaning I multiply by the total kg ,does that mean that's how much kgs I need to give my 25 pigs please help
