Don't think for a second that this thing didn't do it's power ratings...my battery bank could not sustain 14.4v for the entire test. It still did GREAT numbers even at 13.3v. Watch for an upcoming video as i stretch my Sundown zv.5 24" Subs to their limit on this amp. My shop crumbles from the bass this combo makes haha! Follow my instagram channel instagram.com/meade916 i will probably do this live before i film for YT. It's stupid loud!
Man that's an insane amount of power. That's got to be by far the baddest amp I've ever seen. I've never seen any amp put out near the power this thing does. Thanks for the video man. Awesome
20kw for $2500? That's a killer deal. Steve, are you going to install that in one of your rides? Can't even imagine 2 of those. And they are cheaper than Fosgate's 4k amps.
Mind blown bro!!!! WHAT....21,686....let me rephrase that....twenty one thousand, six hundred and eighty six watts!!!! wtf....Holy hell........I can't stop cursing. That thing is a monster!!!!!
Gonna run this amp on my 4 zv5 15s. All thanks to smd and his video. I almost went with the crescendo bassclef 17k but once I seen the videos of multiple demos showing it not doing its rated power, I shot towards this bad boy.
Steve if you ever want to keep up the power and test for longer times you can take a 320 amp alt and have it hooked to a 7hp 240 volt electric motor 1 to 1 ratio on the pullys make sure you get a motor thats 3600 rpm ... it would be cheaper to make something like this then to buy a high amp power supply that has a variable voltage from 12v to 18v ....to build something like that your looking less then $1000 for the whole kit and kaboodle and you can always take out the alternator if you ever needed it .... instant 300 plus amps on call
except for the fact that a 320a alt isn't enough and it would for SURE bog down almost as if it wasn't even there....thanks anyway for the advice though.
Ok Steve....amp is a Monster!!! The new question is, what project in the near future will include The Raven? You can't let that one sit in the bone yard. But great vids Steve!!
waiting on audio equipment as well as some new interior parts i bought for him to show up. Plus the shop is busy as shit right now...it's gonna take some time. But ill get it done soon trust me i need it gone haha! :D
Damn! 10 XS 14v batteries folding up under that B2, so to "Ground Pound" you would need 10+ batteries, maybe some of the XS Power caps and all the alternators (and goggles, can't imagine keeping a windshield in bumping something like that...)
If we do the simple-ratio math using the last real world test as a base: (Dynamic) 21686W @ 13.87V and 0.8 Ohm 22515W @ 14.40V and 0.8 Ohm 25016W @ 16.00V and 0.8 Ohm
Very cool amp. Amazing power!!! But i'd rather go with a Sound Digital 12K as I could never afford all the batts and upgrades this thing would need to run. None the less amazing amp. Keep doing what your doing Steve. You are def one of the best in the business!
you do know you need the SAME "upgrades" for a SD 12k right? If you can't afford "all the batts and upgrades" you shouldn't even be thinking about a 12,000 watt amp of any kind. Just sayin'. Thanks though man! :D :D
Jayden 97 do you work at a welding repair shop? I dont think so. I work with millar, lincoln, esab, canox and many more. Welders can output ac or dc from 12v to 80v and at 400amps or more depending on input. Did you know movie theaters use millar welders to power their lamps?
Heres a cheap one, it outputs 32v at 400amps and its inverter so you can modify it to output a lower voltage and build a big bridge rectifier with bigger diodes and few caps to smooth out the current. You can put some batteries in the loop too to use the welder as a charger. aliexpress.com/store/product/TIG-400A-welder-tig-inverter-welding-machine/917178_32622981293.html
do you know anything about power conversions? are you this stupid? wow. the input is 220-575v and it converts to lower dc power at high amps. You only need 30a or so input with 220v for a welder that can output 30v at 400amps but if you modify the welder to lower voltage like 16v you can get way more power. Talkin like you know everything.
theres also 2 phase and 3 phase power input so you can get dual 220v or higher from the wall. You oven is 2 phase 220v at 15amps so you can run a nice decent power supply at home.
But Steve, Crutchfield says I only need 100 watts to drive a subwoofer! LOL For real though, that amp is properly bonkers. You know you've got too much power when the headlights on the car beside you dim when your bass hits. ;D
Did you get a new iphone or a better camera to do videos with? Noticed it a little while back, much better man seeing your work in high quality is awesome! Not to mention its 2018 like wtf you waitin for bruh? lmao
Do this amp run down to 0.35 OHM withaout takeing damage? Going to get this amp pluss a Pride UFO 5.18 sub and wire it down to 0.35 OHM any advice would be nice
Hola amigo sigo tu canal desde hace varios años la verdad me gustan demasiado tus videos, deberías de subir mas de tu chevy tahoe. Saludos desde Monterrey Nuevo León México. 👍
Thank you for all the amp tests, any chance you can test the vm audio encore 5400.1 d amp? I have asked all the amp dyno guys and they said to ask you. Thanks in advance if you can. Keep up the good work bro👍
Hey man was going through offer up and noticed a dentist company or something like that have an ad and they have your exact logo for their company the SMD font style everything
