I am so glad you use your experience in feel to stop torque. 50 years ago when I first started mechanizing, the shop would use threaded bolts on brake shoe lining. As a novice the shop owner told me to tighten them all until each broke. Over the years he would break one on purpose to keep that feel... back to the show.. pat

there is a lot of empty "waisted" space in there, because that is the same box the 300ah battery comes in, which is what I have at home that is going into my camper van. It is so nice for me that the extra 100ah can fit into the same footprint! Oh! and thank you so much for doing the exploration for me, I was so curious, but not brave enough to do what you are doing! I really appreciate this!

I have the same 200 Ah unit purchased in May 22. I am not happy with their support. I'd been having issues and not used the unit much, led lights and so on and I wanted to upgrade to a 400Ah system because of wanting to use a not yet installed Victron 12V multi plus ii 3000. Well they said after three months one cannot add a second battery or expand but have to buy all new units. Mine only had three charge cycles and kept topped with a Victron charger 65 something or other. So rather than being taken to the cleaners I am thinking of building my higher capacity system. thus researching. A cell company said when built one and expand in time whereas when all in one battery we have to consider their configuration and BMS. With proper busbar sequence one can expand the 12V to more capacity while maintaining 12V use 1 BMS. thus, I am going to look into my new (Amperetime says "old") 6 month owned battery (Yeh, where does 5 years fit in?) and if bolted use their cells as part of an all new system expandable and safe. I could be burping but that is the direction. The 100 amp unit WP reviewed is all welded. Mine could be so that could be a crimp in the plan.

Great teardown! I think 10nm is quite a lot for those aluminum terminals. EVE recommends max 8nm, dunno what's the limit of those Ganfeng Cells. And thanks for showing a clear QR code, other people hardly do that. According to that cell's QR it was manufactured in 2021 May (B5), must be new cells, that's great to know.

You have to start being watchful.. As some manufacturer are putting TTL chips in the BMS...Once it has run so many cycles. It will never charge the cells again. Even if they are still good...

There needs to be a new standard for the sizing of these batteries. All of them are just made to fit in lead acid battery size cases. They need one size 12v battery and more cells can be added for your voltage or amp requirements.

Thank you for doing this video, I bought the same batteries making the mistake thinking I could run them in series. My 24v Victron inverter wouldn’t charge them in series even though the BMS in the battery never cut-off power. I’m seriously thinking of getting a new BMS for 24v instead of 12v so that I can still use these batteries.

I specify that I have a 70 lb brushless electric motor that runs on 12v, is the 12v 100mh or the 12.8 mini model better?

Anyone takes these out of the oversize case and run the battery without the case ? I want to put these in a RV and that case is eating up alot of real estate.
