Group 24 LiTime 12v SMART battery showed 3 volts out of the box. Here’s how to reset the BMS to show true voltage.

I think if you press the power off, you have to awake the battery with another battery. You should have tested that.

Maybe next time! You’re right though.

I have 2 mehrpow 100ah that has worked for 3-4 months. Both suddenly stopped outputting power. The app says they both are good, however not even the jumpstart will get the batteries to give me power. I can charge the batteries. So I'm guessing it's something to do with the BMS. Asking someone overseas how to fix this is ..... Well let's just say it's no help.

sorry to hear that. Have you checked the voltage with a multimeter? How are they hooked up? If in parallel I would unhook them and charge each one up individually and see what happens. The cells could be unbalanced which causes the BMS to shutdown to prevent over voltage.

Anybody know why my lossigy 200 amp battery will only charge to 13.1 volts

Just received their "Tolling Motor" version and it shows 0.3V (I don't have a multimeter, and this is what the charger tells me -- NOT CHARGING IT YET). Would this be a DoA battery? Or a shutdown BMS? I am awaiting a response from the vendor.

@@twiki1963 put the charger on and charge it. The BMS should wake up then. They turn off the BMS for shipping.

Hi @@bansheerider619 thanks for that info! I do find it odd that Li Time support makes no mention of the BMS being shut down deliberately and are instead even offering to 'loan' me a 0V charger. The 0V charger is their 'method 1' for recovery, and their 'method 2' is to connect a 12V solar panel+charge controller.

@@twiki1963 That's dumb. You can use anything that's 12v to wake the BMS. You can even tape together a bunch of AA batteries as long as its 12v

@@bansheerider619 I woke the BMS with an old SLA. I suppose I could’ve used my LiFePO4 charger as it was 12V. Why would their manual not suggest that?

Too much stuff to go wrong. A battery you have to have an app before you can use it? No thanks.

not at all. The app is a feature. You can use this battery like any other battery if you choose.

My Li Time battery came 49 percent charge to but the BMS was already on. I bought this battery for the bluetooth feature. When I am out boating I can quickly check the charge percent of the battery.

@@BTSflyer I will be wiring these in parallel on my trailer. It’s nice in the app you can setup 2 batteries in parallel and monitor the voltage of both.
