Those suits in particular are fine but the Zaku I, Zudah, Gouf (to a lesser extent), and Jagd Doga had that design. Although you could get away with it on the Jagd Doga since it has mutiple cameras to create the 360° cockpit view, you can't really say the same for the OYW mobile suits.
1:25 Just finished the MG Z’gok and I recommend it, BUT make sure you know which one your getting. While the Mass Production type has no accessories, it is better to pose. Chars custom comes with a 4 prong claw and 3 prong, but is also a different build using rubber tubes that limit the articulation.
@@thehobbyist1162 The worst RGs I've built (in terms of overall stability) was the Zeta and the GP01Fb. Terrible shoulders and waist on the Zeta and the waist of the Fb has zero stability thanks to the core fighter integration. things are both hand grenades.
I have the MG Zgok and I think it’s a good kit but not compared to your typical 2.0 era gundam, it’s more like it’s own unique thing kind of like the mg deep striker or the O, id still pick one up though it adds some nice variety to my Mg collection
Ive had mine for a while now, absolutely love it. Just recently took it apart and i am gonna give it a minor custom job (perhaps some missle pods on the arms and a commander's horn) and then a blue based color swap and minor details painted.
I definitely recommend the MG Z'Gok. It's actually one of my favorite kits. Definately shows its age but it holds up just because of how unique it is. I've built both the red and blue, and I highly recommend the red one. The construction of the arms and legs are different so it's a lot more solid.
So he did, but our boy Mecha deserves a break. He's been churning out videos like an absolute madman lately, it's unavoidable that thongs like that will happen on occasion.
MG Z'gok. Haven't built it yet but a friend of mine has and I've handled it out of box and customized. It's amazing especially for the time it was rolled out.
I know it’s a lot to ask but I would LOVE a Perfect Grade Red Frame Astray (Not Kai) because like no one has any reviews on it here on RU-vid and you’re the best at these
If you are planning on buying a MG Zgok, then I would recommend that you buy the Char version, because it fixes some of the issues with the normal Zgok Also, the kit is supposed to come with a 4 claw version of the hand, but I guess you lost it during the 6 or so years
I tried ordering this from Amazon twice and both times the package was lost. First time they offered a re-try, second time they refused so I was out 25 bucks. I want that damn kit!

I'm always a sucker for unique designs like this. Sure it's not as cool as as the other kits like unicorn or whatever but this one looks like stand out the most
@@lisaragomez632 I specifically build only MG and PG and my friend got me this for my birthday because I was interested in trying one of the old RG with an inner frame.
I remember building one and there were an "extra set of hands", there was 1 pair of hands with 3 claws and another with 4 iirc. But you wouldnt have enough claws for all sets of hands
Personally, I recommend the High Grade Z'gok. Not only do you have 2 different color choices, the build is unique, the articulation is just as good as the real grade, and it's only $10 I built the Mass Production Type and it's a very good kit. Just be careful of the jet black plastic that makes up the inner workings. Be gentle yet firm with it.
I just got the MG Z’Gok for Christmas and it’s okay, probably silver or bronze tier in your book. The chest vents were a pain and a lot of nub marks. But if you paint and like old school kits it may be worth picking up.
Was looking up on this mobile suit just 2 or 3 days ago, because it looks interesting in design and to have. Then this video review came. up Haha, best Christmas gift man

I've built the MG Char's Z'gok, and it's quite nice! Though I would recommend the Mass Production version, because I took a look at the MP Ver's manual online and it doesn't have the super annoying rubber tubes in the limbs.
Man something about this kit is so eye catching to me. I just love how it looks, hope It gets a refresh one day cause current RG are 🔥 definitely my ho to kits
I have the MG Z’Gok. It’s a set it and forget it. The limbs (especially the arms) just don’t want to stay together, and when they fall off, they FALL APART. So it’s very tedious to put back together. I think it looks great, but I hate posing it... which is like half the fun of gunpla for me! So take that in mind if you’re considering this kit. Anyway! Been a fan of the channel for years! Personally this is my favorite rg I have built. I had fun putting it together. I have both the rg and mg of this gundam. I know it probably won't happen but I would like a pg version of this gundam.
The decals are quite clean on this. Maybe they made them a bit thinner? Maybe they changed the glue or material? Maybe it's the quality of plastic? It could be any one of those factors.
Got this kit it's pretty cool honestly, but personally I don't have any segment problems I didn't loose any of them. Then again I got the kit last summer so it's more recent then your.
The MG Zgok is pretty good for the point it was made. I'd recommend picking up both versions though, so you can see the differences between building them, as there's a little more to the build with the Char's Zgok.
this was my first Gunpla build ever And it was also my first paint job too I didn't like the 'salmon pink' it looked sun bleached to me so I painted the body a dark blue with silver accents(claws, toes and, missiles) while keeping the maroon
This was my second ever Gunpla and it's all cos of that one Z'Gok cutscene in Gundam Reborn. The Z'Gok is so cool in that one 60 second cutscene that i looked on HLJ for a kit. Found two in my budget; the HGUC & RG. (The HGUC sucks) Bought the RG just cos of his boxart tbh. That fucker was GLARING at me! Still unsure why he has a four claws option... Had to replace my original cos he fell off a shelf and the pegs for both back tanks snapped off. I tried to bodge a fix with cocktail sticks and tape but it didn't work so i bought a new one. I still have him stored away with his 4-clawed doppelganger in his place in my 0079 display.
I liked building my RG Z’gok I hated the tiny piece during the build so hard to hold onto. I was told not to mess with it and just pose it once in the way you like it and leave it. I have mine on the shelf next to my bed and love it
They’re not prehensile limbs. In order to be that, they’d have to be able to curl around something and be able to grasp and either hold the object or hang from it. Chameleon and some monkey tails are prehensile. Octopus arms are as well, but they’re also other things. This is some weird mix of an agile arm and segmented limb. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to mimic a crab, which has segmented limbs, but theirs don’t swivel around and only bend one way. Anyway, they’re you go.
Using the 3mm peg side of the stand adapter is never advised especially on bulky units. Instead remove the clear 3mm peg part from the base and use the square peg into the square hole of the base adapter.
